Chewing gum was the old-fashioned sensory tool parents used for their children with ADHD. Then, like now, schools didn’t allow it, but the approach was quietly effective, providing sensory/tactile stimulation without disrupting others. Plus, the evidence could quickly be swallowed.Now, a whole industry of chewlry and fidget tools has sprung up to provide children tools to manage their anxiety, stress, attention or sensory issues. Some are elaborate, like the tangle therapy . Others are simple, like the sensory balls . This fidget (being for the hand; chewlry is for the mouth) combines movement (the marble) and pressure (squeezing) with texture (the casing). The palm-sized profile (3”) allows one-handed manipulation allowing focus on simultaneous tasks. I was impressed with how tough the plastic netting was that enclosed the marble. The ends are double-stitched to prevent ripping. Great for the classroom--and the adult!
These are fantastic. I am an elementary teacher, and I bought these for some of my more active students. It was a big hit with them. So much so, that I think I will buy them every school year as a gift for all of my students. I actually found myself walking around teaching, with one of these in my hands, fidgeting with it. It's oddly satisfying how the mesh weave/fabric can stretch and contract. These are excellent hand fidgets!

Simple, intriguing and irresistible. We love these handheld fidgets.
These fidget toys are incredibly fun to hold. The marble moves back and forth within the sealed plastic mesh. Great for kids who have trouble keeping their body still when extra patience is in order (i.e.: waiting in a line, at a restaurant etc). I keep one or two in my bag and give to my kid as needed. Even adults are amused and enjoy fiddling with these fidget toys! The general reaction is "what is this?" then they end up fiddling with it indefinitely. I'm ordering more as I think they make a fun gift. It's nice that the package contains 10 items in a variety of colors. I feel it's worth the price for anyone looking for an effective fidget toy.These may also be effective for an adult who is trying to quit smoking and needs something to fiddle with.
