SalomonSpeedcross 5 Trail Running Shoes for Women, Evening Blue/Cadet/Yucca, 9.5

I bought these shoes for cross country running and they don’t disappoint! I took them on a short 2 mile run when I first got them and they were very comfortable, but I do have some small blisters on the back of my heels now. Would recommend wearing higher ankle socks with these, but otherwise the fit is great! I love the grip on the bottom, it seems to hold up very well even in the mud. I have a hard time finding good running shoes online because I have very wide feet that are right in between a size 8 and an 8.5. I ordered the 8.5W and am very happy with the fit, though I’m a little worried that they’ll stretch out with time and be too big on me. Only time will tell!

I've spent several hundred dollars and returned numerous shoes that will fit my feet correctly. Finally found the one. Wider thru the toe area, narrower heel hugs without slipping. But at size 10.5 I don't want a boxy shoe with a bulky sole that makes my feet look bigger. Some shoes feel good and I decide to keep them. Then after half hour walk my toes are in agony. These took me out on the first hike and I didn't have to rush to get them off to rescue my feet. Been wearing them everyday since. Love the elastic cinch cord instead of ties that come undone. We'll see how they endure, tempted to buy another pair for back up in case they're not available when it's time for new ones. All that being said, feet are like fingerprints and what fits mine probably isn't perfect for you. Happy with my purchase though!

Have always worn hoka trail shoes, never thought i would like a trail shoe like this. Salomon has made good products for a long time. When they made a new version of a shoe it is actually better than the previous which is OFTEN not the case. I do wish this shoe came in wide in more colors. I don’t have a super wide foot but the regular was just narrow in middle. I found speedcross 4 wide & bought it. Same size & not near as wide & too short . Material in toe box is not as nice as the 5. They will be good for my sister though

I need a wide width in shoes especially hikers, and decided to try these because my husband has the men's hiker. I am normally a 7w but go up 1/2 size in sneakers and hikers as they tend to run short and I need toe room. These are amazing! Very comfortable with great grip and plenty of toe room. I probably could have worn a 7w but decided that a little extra room was better if I need to wear a thicker sock or my feet swell due to summer heat. The only reason I gave them a 4 is because of the laces. I am not used to a bungee type lace. You have to tuck them under a flap after tightening. Other than that, a great shoe.

The shoes are beautiful and well made. This is my third pair of Salomon Cross trail shoes. There’s a nice difference between this pair of Cross 5, and my last pair of Cross 4. The higher support for the heel in the Cross 5, is just what I needed. I have to wear Orthopedics in my shoes and with the low cut on the Cross 4 style, my heel slipped up. But the higher cut and heel supply on the Cross 5, make such a difference and feels so much better when I walk. I’m a size 8 USA and I’ve even worn 7.5 on my first pair of Salomon. I don’t recommend a half size larger, as in other hiking shoes. It’s a true to size shoe. The arch support is really good too.

This shoe is very comfortable and has great support. I have a wide foot, and the shoes give me plenty of toe room. I broke them in with a two mile walk and had no discomfort. I’ve worn them all day also with no issue, and I’m a person who spends most days barefoot. They are solidly made, Ave I love the tread for hiking and the easy lace system. They are breathable as well. They seem like they will last a long time.

I use these Salomon's for hiking on the east coast, where there are so many rocks, boulders, loose rocks, roots - you name it! These shoes have never disappointed me! The soles are so impressive with large lugs and super grippy! I used to wear Altra Lone Peaks, but no more!!I did have to order the wide in a smaller size than I normally wear, but...bottom line is they work!!!

Bought these for my girl friend. She was getting sore feet from her old shoes. We hike alot and sprint down the trails so lots of rocks and roots and etc we stomp on while running down hill (Hawaii). They are awesome. No more sore feet and not to mention amazing traction while climbing. If you go onto their website you can download a graph for measuring your shoe size that worked great. Perfect fit.
