We installed smart switches (Lutron Caseta) throughout our home and our old fixture was incompatible. After reading the reviews on this fixture I took a gamble, hoping this LED would work with our switches. It does! I also installed this fixture on my own and it was the first time I've done any electrical work outside of plugging things in. After initially switching the fixture on, my wife and I both commented on how yellow the light looks but upon turning around and seeing our neighbors outdoor lights, yellow seems to be the color to go for. Our personal preference would be for a more white light which would be the only slight complaint about this fixture. Its definitely worth the money and it arrived the day after I purchased it, even with all of the COVID delays which was a nice surprise. We've also received more than a few comments on the fixture from our neighbors who all loved it. Would definitely purchase again if we had another outdoor fixture to replace.

They are so artsy looking . They are small but mighty. Actually they are a perfect size. Makes our garage look so interesting. We ordered 3 for the garage and then ordered 2 more for walkway to front door.Only con was, one light came with the wrong back plate, but my handy husband worked it out to make it work.Even with that flaw these still deserve 5 stars

This is a tough product to review. It is a very cool light, but the installation is so horrible, it detracts from everything. They want you to install circular mounting plate on your installation box and then somehow use screws with nuts in the box to mount the mounting plate to the box. IMO there is no possible way to do that. I just drilled holes through the mounting plate and used longer screws to screw into the mounting box.There is a gasket in the mounting plate to seal between the mounting plate and the fixture - there is no apparent way to get it to stay in the intended channel. Then there is a grommet in the mounting plate to run a nice pigtail through the mounting plate into the box. Once you run the pigtail through the grommet, the grommet will unseat and then there is NO way to get it back into the hole. Lastly on install - there are 4 screws that hold the fixture to the mounting plate. The entire light is black - what color are the screws? They are silver and you can see them. Why? And there is a rectangular plate that blocks a screwdriver from working on the screw head from straight on - so you are angled into the screw. Come on guys - either change the geometry or allow the front plate to come off so you can access those screw heads.Once you are done you feel a relief that you actually got it done, but you are also upset that someone could sell a product like this. Then you wonder if they installed it themselves and thought it was OK.The good news is the light is super cool, it is mall and looks great. I really hope they look at their installation and make some changes. First some depth behind the mounting plate would go a long way to easing the install. Right now it requires a dead flat surface to mount to. Investigate the install and make sure you are OK with installing this thing before you buy it.

Made of good quality material, extremely easy to install. The light at night time is nice and bright. It is nice to be able to give different affects with the shades

*UPDATE - Product failed within two months of use. Garbage.* While the light quality is pretty good (a bit yellow for 3000k), even the 6W version is quite bright at night, making it unfortunate that the product does not dim. Amazon description used to note dimming, but language has been updated since my purchase, which is very frustrating. Also, while the lights are inexpensive, they are difficult to install. Mounting to standard j-box and exterior light block requires significant modifications to the light block (these were installed by a master electrician). For me, this increased the overall price significantly. I would not buy them again.

These contemporary lights were easy to install and the price couldn't have been better. This was the first thing we have done before repainting and renovating the front of the house. These lights have set the tone for a great new updated look.

The light failed after 18 months of little usage.

It first off says aluminum painted black, well it's definitely a black acrylic type of plastic and flexible in a way aluminum just isn't at a quarter inch.This product sadly will require hours of work to replace soon. I hoped the battery was passive and now watching the thing flash on and off twice the brightness I know it's charging a battery responsible for powering the light directly instead of as a backup.Remove about ten small screws from the bsck if you are mounting directly to the wall. The mount plate is designed I guess to put screws through maybe a wood wall into it. The idiocy baffles me as the side screws should be all that is needed and someone should remove this from sale for false advertising garbage. It would only take little effort to make this product great, if the plastic housing and hopen design can survive. Shame ad the the price is right, I'd pay twice for a power button not inside the back mount and a product that worked reliably, to lastIt doesn't act like it has a motion sensor, but it is the brightness changing every minute. It is hard without instructions indicating.

Cheap price for the quality. I brought HX-081000CA. The color is nice warm and soft. The "3000K" is under my suspicion, as the brightness is a little weak but still acceptable.The manufacturer should redesign the mounting strip plate that is screwed to the outlet junction box to fit all mounting situations especially when the plate is 45 degree installed, to avoid letting people who buy it spend time to re-work with the mounting plate to fit the installation.
