Easy install. I first steam cleaned and allowed to dry for a few days. Floors are radiant heat. Just before install I cleaned toilet base and floor with Acetone and allowed to dry. I purchased the factory tool to push in the edging tight and uniformly. I have not tugged on edge or end and final opinion will be amended and noted if needed over time. The adhesive has a bit of gooey feel to it and seemed extremely sticky which is initially comforting. With the heated floors this should be an ideal installation. Remains to be seen! I really like the tidy look over the initial paintable caulk I applied to seal the toilet to code. This application was purely decoration . I am hoping the underlying caulk will allow for better adhesion over the long term. This is a commercial application and the floor it abuts is mopped every other day. We shall see.2 months report:Still perfect and tight. No change. A+++

I purchased this to cover the caulking job above the backsplash on the new badly fitting countertops from Home Depot. Honestly I wasn't expecting it to cover or stick well. It was single digits outside so I heated it up a little with a hair dryer after heating up the wall a little. That made it very sticky, almost too sticky. Didn't get it on perfectly straight but it did the job and looks a lot better. I think heating it up might have been the key. Only been 2 days but it's sticking well.

I really like this trim. I did have a little difficulty at first because I don't think I was putting pressure on the right spot. On the back youll see there's a tacky material that is going to adhere to your surface and if you don't put the right amount of pressure there, they will fall. My first few times, it kept falling down in minutes and I just kept pushing it and getting frustrated. I finally took it down and noticed what needed to be pushed against the surface I was applying on and when I changed where I was really pushing the pressure, they stopped falling and seem to have set in the right place. I'm using them in a gap between the cabinet and wall at the top of a backsplash which probably led to the initial issue as I'm wanting them flat against the backsplash which gives less to adhere to.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE:The trim still looks great for my projects that were off the floor, like my crown molding and the top of my wainscoting. Nice clean line and the trim is still in place with slight shrinkage, so keep that in mind. Unfortunately, the trim along my floor boards are a disgusting mess. They attract all the dirt and the dirt sticks to the seams. So if you put two pieces together there will be little lines of dirt along the top, bottom and at the seams. I will NEVER use this along the floor again! Definitely loses a star for lack of a variety of uses!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I installed wainscoting and painted my wall a dark blue. I caulked the door trim and noticed the caulk smears onto my fresh paint job. The insta trim was a great solution. It was a quick and easy install. I used scissors to trim the ends. I cut the ends at an angle when I had two pieces meet in the corners so they appeared more seamless. I used a blow dryer to heat up the strips after I installed them. Then I immediately pressed down the strip again to get the adhesion working well and I think that made a difference. I thought the strips were just sticky backing but they actually have the consistency of Light caulk on the back.I really like the clean look this gave my project. This loses a star for being so expensive.

Looks good once installed however...The adhesion is very cheap. WowI ordered 'Gorilla' two way stick tape as a safety net. Glad i did.I removed the protective strip from the trim and also from one side of the Gorilla two/way tape then 'firmly' pressed the two together. I then trimmed off access tape w/scissors (or Razor Blade) and wow, what a difference that made. The extra effort was well worth the results however why did i have to do that in the first place. Knocked 03 stars off noting the extra money i had to spend to ensure this product worked as advertised. I would totally recommend looking elsewhere for a similar product however note the above if you opt for InstaTrim.Updated Rating: Not only did the product adhesive not hold, either did the Gorilla Two Way Tape..'Every' Strip I placed around my Shower fell off.. Stayed in place for 48 days 'AND' the shower had not been used since the product was installed. Horrible product all the way around.Will never recommend nor buy it again..

I did a shower/tub resurface project but needed a caulk trim. I originally used regular white caulk but it was messy, inconsistent. I tried this product and it is so perfect!! So easy to work with and apply. Stays perfectly in place. :)

I’m so happy I tried this will buy many more. The length of product and adhesive is wonderful, easy and flexible to maneuver adds the professional touch to DIY. Matched beautifully with grey bathroom wall

I used it for one vertical corner of my travel trailer shower that needed a trim piece. It was easy to install and looked good while it lasted. In about a year, during the summer while it wasn't being used, it just fell completely off. It left a gooey mess that took me some time to get off, so that I could use bathroom caulk in its place. This product is not durable, and I do not recommend it. I gave it 2 stars only because it looked good while it was in place.

Was easy enough to install, I was thankful that someone else had commented to use a blow dryer when installing. Once I got it in place, I heated it well in small sections with a blow dryer. You can manipulate it better that way, press hard to get it to stick well and the since the glue has heated up it sticks better. I had enough left over to do around the bottom of my tub. It is not easy to do the corners, you need to cut it on an angle and fit it. Luckily my corners are hidden because I wasn’t happy with how they turned out. I have used caulking before, and I’m not good at making it neat. This is a nice alternative, looks nice and clean.

Does what is says, can be tricky to apply so it adheres well to both surfaces for a good seal, replaced this on my shower with silicone, do use in other less vital areas
