I write as an experienced shaver: this product is good. I got the other version of this as a gift for someone and I got this for myself. Handy and not complicated as others. You can easily pull it apart, clean, dry, and put it together. Not heavy and when put together, not shaky. Handle is long enough to grab safely. Safety edge gets the razor just close enough to my skin for a smooth shave without cuts. Excellent product. I definitely recommend this product!

This is one razor that you need to consider. For the price (as of March 2017, $15.00), you are going be challenged to find a better value. This is an elegant plated brass and bronze razor. The handle length, weight, and balance of this razor feels luxurious and of exceptional quality. The one item that may concern you is that the finish of the handle is highly polished. Ths means with wet, soaped hands you may need to reassert you grip. I shave my face and head with DE safety razors. I have used this razor for both. The safety bar protects my head well. The weight ensures that I do not have to pressure the head of the razor. For head shavers, this is INCREDIBLY important. Pressure with a razor on an unforgiving surface like your skull means, "There Will Be Blood". For shaving my face, I was completely satisfied with the grip and required no hand repositioning. For my skull, the grip was a little slippery. With an attractive solution to improve the grip, this CERTAINLY would be a five star razor for all occassions. This razor plus its leather case (which is perfect to store additional blades in with the razor, makes this a superior value for a razor. Regardless of the polished handle, I do highly recommend the Otto Kampfe Long - Handle Double Edge Safety Razor. This is a very strong 4 star rating.
