All The Queens Houses: An Architectural Portrait of New York's Largest and Most Diverse Borough

I was born and raised in Queens, NY so I'm very familiar with walking and driving past houses that look like this. Bought this book for my boyfriend, who's an architect for his birthday. He grew up in Houston and moved to NYC a few years ago so he still finds the designs of Queens homes very intriguing and absolutely . loves this book. So much so, that its now the top book on his coffee table. haha It has pages and pages of interesting looking homes all around different neighborhoods in Queens.

I beautiful collection of images displaying the diverse creativity of the Borough of Immigrants. This book is a symbol of love for Queens and its residents. The foreword and introductory essay are wonderfully written accounts of the Borough, which are powerful lead ins to the images.

I expected a slightly larger book as I did not read the size in the summary (my fault!). Overall, a great book for anyone that lives/lived in Queens, capturing all of the unique diversity amongst our many neighborhoods.

wish the author had done more research, or chose to add more details. fun book to skim through, but that's about it.

We grew up in Queens and our neighborhood had some interesting houses ranging from Italian mansions to quirky individual designs. Queens is New York's most diverse borough and our housing shows it.I got this as a gift for my sister and she loves it, she plans to track down some of the houses mentioned next time she in New York.

Great little book on the styles of architecture on homes throughout Queens. Normally I do buy off Amazon but I was actually visiting Kew Gardens in Queens recently and bought this from a small local bookseller there, Kew & Willow. Keep our local businesses going if we can. A fun look at the entire borough.

In addition to informative essays at the front of the book each photo (organized geographically) has data and commentary — this is a model that other photo books should follow.
