Qrio Smart Lock (Qrio smart lock) Q-SL1

I will continue to update this with feedback, but so far this lock is fantastic!11/14/18: Arrived from Amazon and installed. Installation was a bit tricky out of the box as instructions were written in Japanese, but the Qrio support webpage was fantastic with english instructions and step by step videos. If you are not the intuitive type, you will be unhappy with the installation process so tread lightly!Installation was pretty straightforward on my deadbolt. The only small issue was the Large deadbolt adapter was not large enough to fit the bolt. Had to apply some pressure and adjust the height of the turning mechanism to get it to "relatively" fit. The bolt is not snug in the adapter, but snug enough for it to operate properly. Deadbolts in Japan are smaller than US standards. Just so you are aware!Software / App Calibration: Pretty straightforward as well. Auto-Lock feature was easy to setup - really like how the LED blinks to let you know about the timer countdown! I have also set up Auto Unlock and cannot wait to see how it works when I take my Shiba Inu out for a walk tonight!The layout of the App is clean, easy to follow, and not too overwhelming. All of the settings are written in English with easy-to-follow diagrams and photos of the installation process.The lock is working great so far! I will say I am an ex-August Smart lock Pro owner. That lock stopped working after a few weeks and had me locked out several times. Auto-Unlock stopped working after a week. But so far the Qrio is working great. I will continue to update this review in the ensuing days/weeks but so far I am very satisfied!I wish there was a way to give 4.5 stars on Amazon because that would be my score. It would get a 5 star rating if it weren't for the smaller bracket and lack of English instructions right out of the package (both understandable as the lock is manufactured, are based on Japanese lock standards, and generally marketed/sold in Japan).

Kind of fun to play with when trying to figure out how it worked however its way too small for a lot of common bolts, not powerful enough to unlock consistently and it can be very tricky to install. The merchant I purchased this from was Japanese primarily and conducted themselves with honor. Returned the product and refunded without significant hassle. I'm sure this product works pretty well for other applications/door types. It would be a very popular product if they also had an rfid token system (not just phone) and expanded the mechanism itself to be more robust/tough. It would not likely work well for even moderately rough environments though i didnt actually use it. Pretty much out of box, didnt fit, back in box, return.

Easy to setup, but doesn’t fit every bolt. Had to build a metal adapter to work. Careful if you can’t take time to modify it.

It is so bad. First of all, if you are using iOS15 on your iPhone, please do not buy this app. You will not be able to download the app. Because they have announced that they will be ending app updates and such in 2018. But that is something you have to check on their official website to know. The fact that the app will not be updated in the future means that if you update your smartphone's iOS, the app may become unusable. Even though I purchased this product, I could not install the app and it became just a piece of trash.

I bought this because I’ve had 2 AUGUST smart locks die and wanted to try a different brand. It doesn’t work with Apple home, Auto Unlock doesn’t work, or if it does it takes so long that I dig my keys out of my pocket faster than it can work, which defeats the purpose, and it’s made for japanese locks which must be much smaller ( I had to use a grinder to shave down the lock so that the QRIO could fit over it.)After buying it, I realized there is a version 2 available from them, but this one is so bad, I don’t think I would trust version 2 to be any better.The only thing that works like it should is auto lock. I don’t have to worry about if I forgot to lock the door atlfter leaving.

2015年から毎日、自宅と事務所に２個の計3台使用しています。職場のメイン入口にも導入しましたが全く正常に動せず他社員にも不評の為1箇所は２か月ほどで取り外しました。今ではカギに戻しました。残る2台はハブを購入して利用していますが、相変わらずまともに動きません。手ぶらで解錠は一回程しか正常に動いたことありません。サポートにも何度も電話やメールで問い合わせても全く返事もなければアプリの再インストール、初期化から再設定と毎回同じ事で起きたトラブルが明確に解決したことがありません。この商品が新型が出た時、更にサイバーマンデーで安売りするという情報は一生懸命３台分営業メールはしっかり２回も（計６通）送ってきましたが信用できないので買いません。元ソニー社員たちを応援の意味で即導入したが完全に失敗作ですし、本気度が全く感じません。冬になりましたがqrioの前で何分でも何度でもエラーと戦うメンタルの持ち主以外買わない方が良いです。

カスタマーサポートの対応が、わたしのこれまでの人生で一番ひどかった。後程連絡する→連絡がこない催促の電話→ちょうど今まで再現実験をしていたと回答（本当か？）再現はできていないと回答→ウソ（よく聞いたら同じ状態になっていた）コミュニケーション能力がない、説明能力もない、責任感もないひとが電話対応してくる。しかも、セキュティ・ロック関連なのに、個人情報を無断で利用してPRメールを送ってきた。個人情報が本当に守られているのか疑問。

反応が遅すぎて、とても使い物になりません。普通に鍵で開けた方が早い。

オートロック機能、オート解除、かなり満足です。注意すべき点はbluetoothで行う以上、ドアの材質や、スマホの処理能力、設定方法。この3つの確認は必須。先ずはドアを挟んだ状態でbluetoothイヤフォンか何か使用可能可どうか。また、距離はどこまで有効なのか。鉄板だと若干阻害されるかもですね。その場合はちょっと遠くからアプリを起動し、解除しながら歩けばノータイムで入れるので結構楽でした。またオート解除も反応限界ギリギリで設定すればより楽ですね。私は携帯ショップで勤務している為、工夫をするのが楽に想像出来ますが、知らないとこの機械のせいにしてしまう可能性大。こんなに便利なアイテムなのに、皆さま低評価なのが残念です。

アプリ立ち上げてロック解除操作してロック解除に失敗しましたと表示されるまで1分待てる人向け、鍵取り出して解錠した方が圧倒的に早いです。手ぶらで解錠機能は設定当初は動作しましたが、今ではもう半年も動作しておりません。
