Great smell. Not to overpowering, unless you douse yourself in it. Just a little spray, like literally the most gentle spritz you can achieve when you push the sprayer, and I smell great all day. I just spritz some on my chest before I put on my shirt; and it's perfectly subtle and last a long time. Like the saying, a little goes a long way. As for the smell, it's musky, maybe even a little "perfumy" but not overbearing in the slightest. You know how magazine samplers usually have that sharp burning sensation? This doesn't have that at all. Again, very subtle and musky.

This is my husband's favourite cologne. Last I heard it was discontinued, but that didn't stop me from looking for it. I purchased this the first time way back when during our first anniversary and I've looked for it every year since. I was absolutely thrilled when I found it again here, on Amazon, after nine years. Which is great as he was almost out of his second bottle. I found this while away during vacation, separate from my husband, and had it delivered home while I was gone. Of course I told him it was something for him and not to open it until I got home.Well, he was very patient, waited until I got back home and then the very next morning he practically ripped through the box to get to it. He's a very sweet man who loves sentimental things, and had stopped using his favourite scent for years to avoid running out of it. He got so happy that he literally leapt from the floor to go spray some cologne from his old bottle. "Now I can wear cologne again. Thank you so much, this means a lot to me."How to describe this smell? It's not overpowering, even freshly applied. The longer it rests the more fragrant it becomes, and it gently fades away, but you can still smell it days later on cloth. It is incredibly woodsy without being overly cloying, but also a little spicy and airy. It's clean and manly, but there's something fruity and feminine about it as well.His favourite thing is when he sprays his cologne and I spritz on my perfume and we hug. My signature scent is also discontinued (Red Delicious by DKNY), but they combine so seamlessly together and compliment each other so beautifully that we spend the rest of the day relaxed into how good we smell.I'm really glad I was able to restock my husband's classic scent.
