Aurora Collections SiliBuki Silicone Sponge for Liquid & Cream Based Makeup Blending

Great for medium to light coverage. It's not a Beauty Blender so don't go into it expecting it to be. I bought it to keep the makeup off my fingers every morning and it works well for that. It is not very good around the eyes or brows, I have to go back with my fingers to blend in. It has a bit of s learning curve, but it's to be expected for such a different applicator/blender (but I wouldn't call it a blender as it doesn't blend well). The little ridge of plastic or whatever is a design flaw in my opinion. It should be cut off during production, as it serves no purpose other than to irritate you with little lines of makeup to scrub off after application. I bought both this design and the teardrop shaped silibuki, and use them interchangeably but find the other more preferable around the eyes, nose, and brows.

I kept seeing this pop up on YouTube & what drew me was being able to save cosmetic amounts and have a clean applicator. I admit that I was doubtful that this little thing could get into all the under eye & nose area. First of all- It is VERY flexible. I don't know how it does it but it makes my makeup look better then when I use my fingers or a foundation brush. It kind of smooths everything out-it definitely helps make my pores look invisible and Yes! It perfectly bends or fits under my eyes for concealer and all around my nose. I rinse it and dry it between products and even use it for blending my cheek stains-my other new perfect skin favorite! I'm getting more as gifts-they are really awesome- Nope not a paid reviewer a real person with uneven skin tone looking for a way to save $ on my products- Yes those rumors are true. You will use about 1/4 of your product daily vs apply w sponge or fingers! Score!

I've only used this twice since receiving it, and so far, so good! It takes a bit to get use too, especially if you've used a beauty blender before. Just remember you do NOT need to use as much foundation as you would if using a beauty blender because the silibuki does not absorb the product like a blender does. It is a little tricky trying to blend around my eyes and nose due to the shape of the product, but I'm sure I'll figure out a flawless way with a little more practice! Cant beat the price and cleanliness this product provides. Very pleased.

There are some people who are allergic to silicone so that should be considered...I have always used the disposable white wedges...and thought this performs fine...I will return to the wedges...I know that a lot of "makeup" people expound the virtue of sponges which I haven't tried...but may give them a shot...this performed as expected, but not better than the use or lose little wedges...and I don't have to clean them.

It doesn't blend my makeup at all, I joined the bandwagon because the beauty blender soaks up so much product, but I end up using it anyways because this thing looks uglier than using my fingers to apply makeup. It kind of looks like I used sand paper to apply my foundation. I'm still going to try it every now and then to see if it could work at all. But hey its not a bad price for trying something new.

I love that you just need to rinse and dry off, which makes it very portable. However, I prefer the use of the non-silicone sponge when applying foundation, as using a wet sponge to apply foundation dilutes it just the right amount, and the small point makes it easier to blend around the eyes and nose. This is a high quality product, for those that don't care for damp application, and it certainly does save on foundation use.

I was hesitant to try these after watching some YouTube videos but I thought I'd give it a try. And I love it! I did not get the streaking like the videos showed. It went on so nice and smooth and so nice to not waste product with the sponge I was previously using. I developed a rash around my eye and wonder if it was due to the sponge. I love that you can easily wash this sponge with just water. I'm going to order a second one to keep in my travel bag. Great product!!

I wouldn't recommend this over a beauty blender any day of the week. When using it to apply my Kat Von D foundation it applied unevenly, leaving lines and smears. I also used Maybeline and Make Up Forever foundation and all results were the same - uneven, unblended, streaky. Stick to the beauty blender, brushes, or fingers. Disappointed!
