I do professional production work (audio, video, lighting) and I was looking for a lightweight safety cable for some projectors. While these do work well and are a great price they have 2 flaws - first and most importantly - THE WEIGHT RATING IS NOT ACCURATE. My first clue was the size of the cable and fittings - this cable (if properly connected) is rated for roughly 100lbs (there are some variables there). The problem with these is the PVC was crimped into the connectors (instead of the bare cable) which lowers the rating. I tested these with known weights and after just a few seconds, the cable came out of the fitting with only 50lbs of weight on it. 2nd flaw - the steel cable is sticking out of the ends (sharp and easily catch your hand and cut it).Long and short of it, if you plan on hanging 25lbs from this, it'll probably work just fine for what you need but if you want to hang anything heavier, look elsewhere.

So I have been batteling squirrels destroying my birdfeeders and emptying the see by jumping on them.. I needed an idea so I decided to try these.. I used a normal 12' hook and attached 2 of the long chains so the feeder is far away from the main limb, main tree and high off the ground.. So far the squirrels have majorly slowed down.. I guess its just too much work for them to slide down the chain.. I know these are used mainly for stage lights but they are perfect for bird feeders too :)

These are swaged properly - they are not safe to use in any rigging application. I threw mine away as soon as I saw them.

Loop, clip, forget about it. These are a simple but important part of hanging anything safely above people and priced reasonably so you don't feel the need to skimp on the safety.

Excellent product- wish they made in other lengths- about 16 inches and 48 inches as well- very well made.

The product was as described, really strong and can be used for a variety of purposes!

These safety cables were exactly what we needed for our stage lighting! Great price!
