Good insulation, Looks nice
This was a simple installation, it looks nice, and should be a huge improvement from the cold and heat. I choose this product because it had one of the best R value ratingsThe insulation was 2 inches thick and my door space was only 1.75 inch gap, so I did need to use a bit of muscle to compress and push the insulation into the door lip. The insulation is very rigid, so bending it to insert into the other lip was out of the question. I easily cut it to size with a long serrated knife, which cut through it cleanly and easily. I did cut the second edge a bit short, since there was no bend to the product, and used a large plastic putty knife to help tuck the second edge into the door lip. I was thinking maybe I could slide the insulation up or down to center it in the panel, but there was no slide. It has stayed in place without the use of any adhesive. I did go back and fill in any gaps with foam insulation. This was my first time installing a product like this and I was happy how it turned out. I did this 16 foot door in about 6 hours, doing 2 hours at a time over three days. I am having the garage ceiling insulated, but I am hiring an insulation company to do that job. The ultimate compliment came with the professional insulation person said he would hire me after seeing my door insulation.

Acoustic Fiberglass Panels
This is exactly as advertised... Kudos! I didn't realize that the fiberglass had to be covered, but that's OK... still a great product
