This is very versatile and useful in so many different ways, it very quickly became one of my favourite welding toys with a couple of minor alterations, including the addition of a lead to use it as an earthing point itself.

I was expecting to modify this after reading several reviews that said the magnets are under powered. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's not true, they're actually really strong, certainly strong enough to make this a very useful tool. Perhaps these people weren't fixing fully direct to steel/iron? Anyway, I'm glad I bought it as I've used it quite a few times already and I only received it this afternoon! At the best price too.

I frequently have difficulty positioning and holding items when welding. This seems to be ideal for the job, it is adjustable and has strong magnets and spring. I haven't used it yet but it looked so good I bought other magnetic holders from the same manufacturer. Well made and looks perfect for the job.

I really don't know how I got on without it before , when fabricating this tool allows me to measure big frames without always having to ask someone to hold the tape , absolutely amazing bit of kit.

What a wonderful addition to my steel welding bench. I sometimes wish the arm were longer.
