Long Term User
I loved this grinder otb. Even gifted my main grinder after a while. I never expected it to be non stick, but it was less sticky. Over time I put less and less material because it became less and less smooth because it WAS sticky. Even after alcohol baths and light coconut oil lubing of moving parts. Didn't understand why, but it still looked so dope and people let me know every time they saw it. Itnwas my first high quality grinder and miles ahead of my original.Soon I figured out why cleaning wasn't returning it to otb smoothness. It peels slowly overtime that's a major deal breaker, not because of the tiny particale guming it up. IDK what is in the special coating but I don't want to inhale it. Mine isn't a rare occurrence either. I see many long term user say the same. I bought a space case scout about the same time for travel. When it gums up, alcohol baths, light(very light) coconut oil and it's butter smooth for months. I researched and found long term users have the full size models since Woodstock and S!! (J/k, but many, many years). I'm going for a full size and getting out of the "grinder game" Not pushing SC. Just saying, do your research instead of falling for the beauty of SLX... unless you like combusted microscopic filings in your lungs. If you like to buy things once, want a safe grinder, then do not buy. Their are many reputable companies new and old who make higher quality grinders that perform for better than a decade. Don't take their word, hit the forums and read real reviews whever you can find them.
