Perfect item for the job
PerfectOrdered to 20' kit for a 10 foot door hoping I could get two installs. Plan worked perfectly. It came with just enough extra to do this.I had an issue with an out of level slab. Not just out of level - but sloped more than 1/2 from the outside concrete threshold into the garage under the door. The corner of the garage door was like a river that puddled about 5' into the garage. I thought my only option was to level the slab costing thousands and making a huge mess. The half inch threshold kit worked perfectly. My installation - Easy, time 30 minutesRather interesting - Trimmed of extra half inch of the threshold to startCreated an L pattern in the threshold and fit it into placeLowered the door downMarked concretePut my spare piece of 1/2 threshold down backwards - wide end facing outsideThis gave the door seal a nice channel to slide intoGlued everythingNo Leaks and worked great!!!It's a crude drawing - but thought it might help someone

installation was easy, the supplied adhesive seems to be holding fine
installation was easy, the supplied adhesive seems to be holding fine. i have no issues with this.one side comment, if during the installation any of the adhesive pushes out from from under the seal, leave it! do not wipe it as this will just smear it and rub it into your concrete. if you leave it and allow it to dry, using a simple razor blade / box cutter to cut along the edge, the adhesive peels away nice and clean easy giving you a much cleaner look.edit: 2/28/2019, the strip is still holding up strong, no areas where the adhesive has loosened and do damage to the strip itself.

Perfect fit for my 18 ft garage threshold
I have a garage that I epoxied myself and kept getting dust in my garage and drafts from the hot/humid Houston weather. My garage has a 1-1.5 inch cut out in the cement from the garage down to where the garage door closing threshold is. I played around with the up/.down traverse on the garage door motor but still had this gap.I unrolled the threshold and let it heat up in the sun to lay flat. Measured and marked, dry fit and cut on the measured mark and it was perfect length. Cuts easily with a sharp utility knife. After installing this threshold kit, the door seals perfectly. With the same weather, my garage is now 8-10 degrees cooler since it seals and does not let the warm air in.I did not use the Residential Grade Silicon Adhesive (like silicon grout consistency). I just purchased liquid nail Heavy Duty Adhesive form HD for $4. Worked perfectly.

It was very easy to install
Every time it rained, I got water in my garage. Lots of water. This threshold has completely stopped that. It was very easy to install: cut to the right length, clean the floor really well, and adhere with liquid nails. It came with two tubes of silicon sealant, but I bought a single tube of liquid nails on the advice of other reviewers. As someone else has mentioned, clean up is WAY easier if you wait until the glue has dried. Scraping off dried glue does not result in the glue getting spread around.

IMPRESSED!
First, I'll say I did not purchase this to keep rain out of my garage. The main purpose was to provide an airtight seal to keep the cold winter air from coming in through the gap between the garage door and floor. I was impressed as soon as I received it and felt the weight of the product. Quite frankly I was expecting something maybe like a sturdy foam product. This is a heavy duty seal! It took both hands to carry the box down to my garage. It came nicely rolled - I rewound it the opposite direction to help it lay flat, then unrolled it on the floor where I planned to install it in my double wide garage. Cut it to approximate length with a razor knife. Got it into position by raising and lowering my garage door while making minor alignment adjustments. Once I had it where I wanted it I ran a Sharpie along one side along the floor. Then I moved the seal and applied two rows of the supplied glue. Moved the seal onto the glue and walked back and forth over it a few times. Lowered the door for a final check, and done. The seal is amazing. I needed this last week when we had -15 wind chill. I'm prepared this time!

Great deal, if you're looking for adhesive that expired 7 years ago.
I thought I'd save myself a trip to the store by buying this kit which includes the threshold as well as the required adhesive. Unfortunately, one of the tubes I received was completely dried out, as it had expired over 7 years ago. (Exp 4/12 - this was purchased 8/19).I received the nicely boxed threshold, instructions, and two tubes of silicone caulk adhesive. They were different brands, but upon initial review, seemed to be similar. I prepped the opening, marked the location, opened a tube of silicone, and dispensed the entire tube onto my garage floor. Then I opened the second tube. I noticed it was hard to puncture the opening, but thought nothing of it. But then nothing came out. I pressed on the tube, and it felt hard, like it had dried. Then I saw the 'use by' date, which was over 7 years old. Standing in my garage with rapidly curing silicone on my floor, and not enough to finish the job, I began searching for more in my own stock. I had a tube in the cabinet, but as you probably know, once you probably know, these usually dry out once you open them and don't finish them. Fate was on my side today however, and the silicone I had was still usable.Sending out such long-expired product is really inexcusable. Especially when the product is not only required for installation, but that said installation is time-sensitive, and not easily reversable. Just scraping up the dispensed silicone isn't really an option. There's no easy way to re-start the install later, as new silicone won't stick to the remnants of the old. All in all, it's a decent product, but the inclusion of expired product shows the seller really doesn't care about quality control or shipping a quality product. I have several more garage bays to install, and I'll be looking for a different product.
