2014 four disc (three CDs + PAL/Region 0 DVD) anthology from the Dutch band, released to coincide with their 40th Anniversary. The three CDs feature hits, album tracks, fan favorites and three new tracks while the DVD contains all the band's official videos. The Nits (or Nits as they are now known) has remained Holland's best kept musical secret with very few of their albums released outside of Europe. Like XTC, the band began as an adventurous and quirky Pop band in the '70s, maturing, experimenting and finding their own unique sound over the decades. Band members Henk Hofstede (vocals/guitar/keyboards) and Rob Kloet (drums) have been with the band since their inception. Keyboardist RJ Stips (Supersister) joined in 1983 and remained with them ever since apart from a break from the band in the late '90s and early '00s. While not always commercial, the Nits have released a back catalog that would make any band envious. For fans new and old, this is an exceptional package from an exceptional band.
