Mama loves this!
We used to read the Grit when I was a little child. over 50 years ago. It was a sort-of weekly newspaper at that time. Filled with GOOD news, Sweet stories, etc. Mama loves it now, even though it comes far less often than weekly nowadays. It is a wonderful balance from all the negative news nowadays.

Great reading for DIY-type homesteaders.
This magazine was recommended to me by a friend who said it was good reading for people who were already living the homesteading life and she was right! The problem with most other magazines like this is they are too mainstream telling you things like the benefits of growing and storing your own food. We’re already on board with homesteading. We want tips and ideas we can use and this magazine does that! Highly recommend, especially if you are a DIYer around the house and property.

Awesome Magazine
Great content. With a society that is quickly becoming way to reliant on others and forgetting what our ancestors knew so well, this and other magazines like Back Woods Home are wonderful. Helpful content whether you are a city dweller or leading a self sustaining life in the country!

Old style magazine with simple a approach, GRIT magazine
I like the articles that are written by subscribers about "DIY" projects, simple gardening tips, small farms, etc. Those type of articles seem more personal and helpful.

Great for the small urban homestead
Grit is a awesome magazine that has great topics that can apply from the large farm to the small family postage stamp lot that many people live on. I have been reading the magazine for almost 8 years and I can't wait for each issue. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. You will too!

It's a nice magazine, but is disappointingly and completely unlike the GRIT newspaper of olden days. Cover to cover, the GRIT newspaper was full of good news and stories of human interest. It was a newspaper for all ages. This magazine is more reminiscent of a combination of Organic Gardening and Family Handyman.
