Sharp knife, great value
My wife uses this knife for everyday food prep. She likes the balance and the grip but most of all, how sharp it is. This is our second one because the first one broke after years and years of use. We also made the mistake of sharpening the old knife in a sharpener and it was not quite the same after that.

Like it
Rented a beach house this Spring, and the kitchen came equipped with this knife. Really surprised because the rentals always had dull knives. We were really impressed with how sharp this tool was, so I bought 2 from Amazon. Some reviews complained about rust etc. My hubby is fussy about knives and always hand washes and dries them....so I am doing the same with the Sensei to hopefully avoid the corrosion. ( also have the spare one).

Systemic product failure
Knife is wonderful to use in the kitchen.I had 3 of them already, however.....There is a systemic product defect that make the blade brake from the handle (see picture).I hope the manufacturer could fix this issue.Willing to buy another, but.....

Very sharp knife
The knife works great. This is our forth knife. After a few years of use it will breake about 1/4" inside the handle.

poor quality
Disappointed with this knife. Although, I had it over a year I have $5 knives that have lasted 5 or more years. This knife is of poor quality and broke while I was cutting fruit. I would not recommend it.

Extremely sharp
These are the sharpest knives. They hold an edge a long time.

Breaks from the handle
I've had two of these. Love it too begin with but both have broke at the handle. They rust just inside the wood (even though I store them upside down so they drain) and break right there. Not buying a 3rd.

not the best knife ever, but it works well
Already have one of these, had to order a second one. Razor sharp, you don't need a serrated knife to cut soft fruit or veggies, like tomatoes etc., this knife will cut everything. Some reviewers noted that they can't get straight cuts because of the single-side edge; I don't have that problem and I do use it with my left hand (maybe it's different if you're right handed). I can actually slice onions razor thin, 1/16" or less and it's straight.Overall, good knife for the money, I wish the handle would be a different material though.
