Please read description and make sure it works with your phone. If unsure, check with support they were very helpful to me after not being able to get it to connect with my phone. It only connects via NFC even though the app list bluetooth as an option. Thus the name Spark Tap, I guess. If I should get another phone with NFC I would for sure re-purchase. Sometimes we do not pay attention to the fine details. But it is very well constructed and would be nice not to have to log in my hydration manually. Happy Drinking everyone!!

The bottom part got wet from cold water sweat from the bottle and stopped working. They sent me a replacement bottom which was probably refurbished part and in that one the battery kept disconnecting and caused the device to reset agian and again. I don't get it why they couldn't seal the bottom from cold water sweat by simply adding an o ring. Very bad engineering job. Don't waste your money on this product.

It was a great bottle and really did have me drinking more water, but it stopped working after a few weeks. I replaced the battery, and the light flashes when the battery goes in, but the buttons aren't making anything happen. Pretty bummed.

This cup has several features that make it easy and helpful for me to make sure I am drinking enough water.

First, let me say what this is. It's a sip water bottle. It has a screw-on base that flashes in a color of your choice hourly 12 times a day. It has a NFC chip in it that your phone can sense. An app ties things together.It also has a piece of paper with some instructions on it that tells you how to pick the color, set the start of the 12-hour notification cycle, and how to install the battery.Amazon sells the CR2477 battery for about a buck each in quantity (or more depending on brand). You can use a rechargeable version of the battery. My original battery is still good after 9 months of use.I dropped the bottle from a height of 24 inches to a stone surface and there was no visible damage, and the light still flashes. It doesn't leak. The carrying handle is good for a finger, and overall it's a decent water bottle.The app can automatically record your completing a bottle if you bring the NFC chip on the bottle next to a compatible phone (I have an iPhone 13). You can also enter your fluid intake manually. The app suggests a goal (based on your age, weight, gender and activity level) or you can enter your own goal. Then it tracks your progress daily.I've been using the the bottle for 9 months now. I've stopped using the app, but the bottle flashing does remind me to drink more water.HydrateSpark makes a more sophisticated version that actually senses how much you drink and messages the app. It costs a lot more, and the one I used to have ate batteries like popcorn.Hint: don't set the notification color to red because then you can't tell whether your turning it on or off, since the on/off confirmation flashes will be the same color.

Initially worked and was happy it increased wtaer intake. Then stopped working after a few weeks. Thought it was battery. Bought new batteries. Light still doesn't light up as before. Can't return because it's out of the return window. Disappointed.

This is so helpful to keep me hydrated! I don’t drink enough water and while I’m at work, I drink plenty since it flashes at me every hour! Love it!
