I like this product because it’s affordable, fast and simple to use. I used this as a treatment for my dry hair because of hair color.

First of all, I didn't realize this product contains formaldehyde before reading the label with warning message after opening the package (photo attached). I was aware that prolonged use of formaldehyde can cause skin cancer but wanted to give it a go to test its efficiency as hair product.I've sensitive skin and didn't do a patch test, which was a bad idea. After blow drying and flat ironing my hair, part of my forehead that came in contact of the product had burning feeling and lasted for almost two days. It left red burned marks leaving my fine lines visible. I'm really hoping my skin heals soon and lucky that it didn't get worse. Also, didn't see much effect on smoothening my hair either.Those who are planning to buy this product should note that according to American Cancer Society, "When formaldehyde is present in the air at levels higher than 0.1 parts per million (ppm), some people may have health effects, such as: watery eyes, burning sensations of the eyes, nose, and throat coughing, wheezing, nausea, skin irritation". I won't take the risk of irritating my skin again with this product and would recommend being careful if you've sensitive skin.

This is the 4th time I’ve purchased this product and so I felt a review was justified. This product has honestly changed my life! A little dramatic I know but it really has in that it has saved me hundred of hours, this treatment takes about 3 hours to apply so yes it’s a slog but it really is worth it because once applied I do not heat treat my hair in any way shape or form for approximately 3 months. I just wash, air dry and go. Here are the before and after photos of my hair. As you can see following the treatment it is immaculately straight, this is before i wash it out (which will be tomorrow) so after tomorrow my hair will be less straight, and more defined curls with zero frizz which is exactly how I like it, I don’t dig the polka straight look but if I did, it would only take 10 minutes to achieve this look rather than 90 minutes which is how long it would normally take. If you’re looking for something which will make your curly hair more manageable and defined I would definitely give this a go. Warning! It does really quite sting your eyes so make sure you apply in a well ventilated room!***update! I have now added photos of what it looked like after I washed the treatment out 48 hours later and left it to air dry.. (see photos taken in room with green walls) you can see how the roots are a little wavy (probably as I couldn’t get so close with the straighteners) I should also add that I used straightener set to 230 degree. In the past when I’ve used straightener which only peak at 180, the end result was not so straight

Things they wont tell you:- Water hardness matters (“not using sulfate shampoos after treatment” applies to having hard water - it frizzes your hair and wont keep it straight)- Hair type!!!!!! Most important. My hair is thin, 2a/2b waves, mixed with some 1c strands. VERY frizzy. Never ever dries nicely, but it holds curls well and straightens easily. It will do what I want it to do (until humidity/rain hits and ruins it). but overall my hair took this treatment extremely well (too well, discussed later)- Damage amount: my hair is hella damaged from bleaching and straightening every day. This made it healthier. Its extremely smooth now.- Use a fine tooth comb, after you rub the product in. like SUPER fine, that’s the only way itll distribute properly & not over/under apply.- I left it in for 24h and straightened it an extra 2 times after original applicationOverall my hair turned out EXTREMELY straight. I like it, but it also took away all body of my hair. Now I have to blow dry after showers to get some volume at front and roots.IF you have thicker, curlier hair, this will probably work great, it’ll smooth just the right amount. But if you have extra thin hair, take it easy!!!! I definitely made it too straight.Also application wasn’t bad at ALL. Everyone who complains needs to get a clue and realize its literally formaldehyde! Obviously its gonna burn your eyes and nose if your in a closed room. I did the application at night when it was windy outside, in my bathroom with the window open and the overhead fan running. Nothing crazy no plug In fans, but the smell wasn’t bad.Give this product a chance, it 100% works if you do it right. Anyone that says it did nothing can only blame themselves because they didn’t follow instructions(pic is the day after washing it out with 0 blowdrying or styling or anything)

My hair gets frizzy especially when it is damp in the winter and I got this product to ease the frizz. I follow the instructions and it does smell awfully as it was described on the reviews. After the application my hair got smoother and felt really soft and this effect lasted for 2-3 months which is quite long considering that it is a DIY application. But the process is thinning the hair and after the effect is gone I had to have a hair cut as the ends of my hair looked damaged.If you’re prepared to do it, then go for it :)

I was surprised how well the treatment worked to be honest. In the first picture it’s my hair without straightening, and the second picture is after i washed the keratin out for the first time (also without straightening). It’s so soft, shiny and frizz free compared to before.Some people have said it didn’t work for them, but you do have to do everything properly to get good results. E.g. wash TWICE with the clarifying shampoo, don’t be scared to go over each hair like 15 times with the straightener after the keratin is applied, and only use SLS free shampoo and conditioner from that point on (I used the one from NYK1 and I really recommend it!).I paid £120 to have it done professionally last year, but it turned out terrible - my hair went really coarse and puffy, still frizzy, and I had to start straightening it every day (when before it was still manageable without straightening).
