Brutal King: A Dark Bratva Academy Romance

Horrible
It was so choppy and so predictable. The characters are one dimensional with no depth. The H and h are so annoying and the story dragged so much. I truly wish I could get my $2.99 back..it was just that bad. Save your money and time and find another book to read. I wanted to knock my head against the wall every single chapter. Worse book I've read this year. That's saying alot!

Lukas!!! Spoilers
So from the very first book, Savage Heir, I was curious about Lukas. He seemed so mysterious but very much broken and I wanted to know about him. So to finally know about him. Yeah it was worth the wait. Now the twists and turns in this was definitely on par for a story about Lukas. And I can definitely say Lizbet was perfect for him. Of course with her impending end date when she loved she love with all she had because she knew she didn’t have long and just as Lizbet was perfect for Lukas, Lukas was perfect for her.Absolutely loved the brave face Lizbet always showed. And her grit. She always pushed through even if she didn’t want to. Even she was scared out of her mind. She would push. I know she did a lot of this for her sister Mara. But it still takes guts to face down the men who your father tried to kill. And Lukas was his brand of heroic. I know he did a lot of what he did so he could chase away the phantom pain he felt but he still geared himself a lot of the time towards doing good things. No matter how broken he felt he was he still handled things like at better than he could have. We get real glance at how things could have gone when his brother Yanis shows back up.I felt for Yanis. I really did. But he was so broken and unhinged after all the abuse. What else could the outcome have been. And to make Lukas really think he was losing it to the point where he had gaps in his memory. I almost believed it too. The only good that came out of Yanis returning when he did as him being to give Lizbet a second chance on life with his death. And I know that is really dark but it is what it is.

Saving Each Other
Finally the bad boy of bad boys. I found this love story so hot and so challenging that I finished in two days. Lukas and Lizbet had me going and I laughed and cried while taking this journey with them. Lukas didn't want anything to do with Lizbet but he found a way to let her in but not all the way in totally. To think that his brother was still alive totally spinned the story. I felt as if i was standing right in the room with them. It was a roller coaster of a ride and I enjoyed it. Mr. Cole, these characters could have been students I went to school with yet never would have known because of the social class that is still so evident. Now that I have read all three novels, I can say that Lukas and Lizbet are my second favorite couple next Misha and Charolette.

5 Stars for Lukas and Lizbet!!
*SPOILERS*Jagger Cole has quickly climbed to the top of my go to authors list.. and this story has cemented his place there! I don’t know what some of y’all are on about but omg the roller coaster ride this story took me on - Y’ALL I CANT. I could not put this down from start to finish. I THOROUGHLY enjoyed every interaction between L&L and even Ilya and Misha’s interactions with Lizbet. The absolute mind**** with the brother like omg - I didn’t see that coming! Everything that happens when Lukas goes back to the black house with the black door just takes you on a RIDE. It was wild! I loved it and will read again! The only thing I can say I wish there’d been more of is interaction between the girls. That’s literally it - everything else is gold! Congratulations on another win, JC!

I wanted more depth from Lizbet and Lukas
The book was a quick and easy read. Lukas and Lizbet are enemies who are thrown into a world together. They each have their demons and agendas. They are drawn to each other but hate each other and then BAM they’re together. Fine, I’m okay with the fast pace. I wish there was more bare bones ripping each other’s secrets into the light to grow and heal and learn about each other. I just wanted more and that was all surface level.

Really impressed…surprising twist and turns, wonderful romance
This was the first book that I read by this author and I intend to read all of his other books. I read this book via kindle unlimited and I'm going to purchase it so that I can re-read it when I want to.The author wove an amazing story around the Romance that developed from a hate hate relationship to a complete Love relationship, and kept me invested in the story with all the surprising twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. I at times thought Knew what was going to happen and was completely surprised at what actually happened.I became invested in the characters… All of them, which surprised me. These were to me Real individuals who struggled with real issues, finding Love, finding healing, fighting to survive. Even at the end when I thought I knew where the book was headed, I was totally blown out of the water… totally surprised with the twists and turns that just kept happening. I couldn't have predicted how this story was going to end.I was getting bored of reading romances, but this book brought me back what originally drew me to read romances in the first place. And, it kept me totally guessing all the way to the end. I recommend reading this book and I don't often recommend books!

Freedom Restrained
Ilya is the wolf, Misha is the lion and Lukas Komarov is the dragon. Armored, hardened, hidden deep in his own cave poised to destroy.Lizbeth Belsky, scraping the last of her reserves to be able to attend Oxford Hills Academy, to take back the empire and fortune that was taken from her upon her father's demise.Lukas' background is filled with painful darkness with him rarely in control of his demons breaking free.Loved these two together giving each other cathartic freedom from their emotional and mental restraints.

very dark but so good
This was a great story and the best in the series so far.Spoil alertI do have some questions. There was no mention of her needing to take her meds after the electrical fire. It was made to seem like she needed those to survive longer. Also if Lucas was rescued from that house you would think they would have searched and emptied it out finding the hard drive and who was behind it based on the pictures before now. That is the only thing that I didn’t think made sense.Still was a great story

Brilliant read
Lukas has so far been the darkest and most mysterious character in the previous books and we find out just how broken and damaged he really is. Lizbet is also damaged, with secrets to hide and will stop at nothing to ensure her family is looked after. There is always something happening and Jagger Cole kept me engrossed with unexpected twists and turns right until the end. This is another, not to be missed, brilliant read and well deserving of the 5 star rating.

Good story
I enjoyed this enemy/forced marriage story about Lizbet and Lukas. She to their waring families, the Elders decide on a marriage of convenience to keep everyone civil. Lukas and Lizbet have booth been abused unbeknownst to them, by the same man. Both of the internal and external scars run deep but it seems they can help each other quiet their storms. Hot read.
