Q: Is this supposed to smell like the inside of a car that has been baking in the sun? I have the white & green one & it doesn't smell. My pink ones do.

I purchased the green one and it did not have any smell whatsoever. I don't see why the pink ones would. In my opinion I don't think they should.

Q: Bought a white one and dark spots started forming underneath and have been slowly growing. Can't wash it off no matter how I scrub. Could it be mold?

I have 2 green ones and 2 yellow ones and have had no spots, stains or mold. I have had them for well over a year and they get a pretty fair amount of use. I have never had problems with mold on my silicone products. I haven't had a problem with tea stains either as these wash up really beautifully. Sorry I can't be more help!

Q: Can you use this with any cup?

Yes you can use this with any cup. It sits on top of the cup and holds the tea bag and keeps your tea warm at the same time. I have all different sizes of teacups and mugs and it works great. It's a great invention and I use mine all the time; even if I am brewing loose tea in a strainer, I set this on top to keep my tea hot while it steeps.
