Best Mattress for the Price
Great mattress for the money. Got the king size for a couple and it works great. We’ve both been noticeably sleeping better due to the size and the comfort of the bed. It’s slightly firm, but not too hard, feels perfect after sleeping on it a few times. It did have a slight chemical smell after unpacking. This is to be expected. We let it air out for a week and there was zero odor at the end of the 7 days. We are super sensitive to any scents and it’s been good to go after that initial off gassing period.Overall we are definitely satisfied so far.

Most comfortable mattress I've ever owned
I purchased the Zinus 8 Inch Gel-Infused Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress / Cooling Gel Foam / Pressure Relieving / CertiPUR-US Certified / Bed-in-a-Box, Queen size. It has three different layers of foam and is not a hybrid model. First is the 4.5" high-density base support foam, next is the 1.5" comfort foam, and on top is the 2" gel-infused memory foam. This is the first foam mattress I've ever owned, and I'll never go back to using the old box spring mattresses I've had all my life. The first night I slept on it with only a single sheet covering over the mattress and I was stunned by how nice and comfortable it feels compared to everything I've ever slept on before. The second day I installed the SafeRest Queen Size Premium Hypoallergenic Waterproof Mattress Protector, which is quite thin as it's a mattress protector and not a mattress "pad." I noticed no difference in how it feels in any way with this addition after using the bed all day and sleeping for 8 hours the second night. I believe it's so comfortable because of how your body sinks down into the foam slightly which supports your mass more uniformly than other surfaces can. Don't get me wrong about this, it's still a quite firm mattress so it's not like you sink way down into it. I wish there was some way I could better express just how much I love my new Zinus mattress!!! This is like sleeping on a cloud! I've read some negative reviews about people who've removed the cover that comes on the mattress to wash it or for whatever reason and then went nuts complaining about loose fiberglass fragments they encountered afterward. I believe the tiny amount of fiberglass material built into the cover is part of the fire-retardant material that makes up the cover. I also believe the warning the manufacturer gives about not removing the cover is their way of being over-cautious about the possibility of customers coming into contact with fiberglass fibers if they do so, and anyone who has removed the cover has NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES for any problems they encounter for failing to follow the manufacturers instructions. I haven't removed the cover on mine but I did open the zipper about 12" so that I could stick my bare forearm inside and rub it around to see for myself if there really was loose fiberglass fiber but I didn't notice any indication of this at all. My recommendation if you ever feel the need to remove the cover to wash it or whatever is remove the cover, deflate the air out of it and then CLOSE the zipper (without turning it inside out) and then arrange it around the center post of your washing machine. This will ensure the inside and outside of the cover won't come into contact with each other. Wash on a delicate setting, no bleach, then after removing it from the washing machine don't put it in the dryer, just lay it out on the floor to dry before putting it back on. The first picture was taken just 5 minutes after removing the mattress from the box and it's a full 7". 36 hours later it had expanded to the full 8" as can be seen in the second picture. After about 36 hours it was fully expanded and was very smooth and flat with square edges, and it looks almost perfect in every way. I have no idea how long this mattress might last, but after paying only $200 plus $18 in sales tax with free shipping it's easy and cheap enough to replace. I'm still using my old bottom box frame but since the distance between the support slats is a full 6" on my old base, I show in the third picture how I installed (with a few screws) some pieces of 1/4" plywood to the top of it for better support for the foam mattress. I simply bought and installed 3 pieces of 1/4" plywood at 24" x 48". I needed to cut the width of one piece for the foot end of the bed down 4" so that the plywood would break over the supports slat of the old box base. If you choose to follow my example you may need to modify this to some extent depending on the spacing of the support slats of your base.

Very Comfy and Good Price
No complaints! Good item and good price!Bought this as guest bedroom mattress and we have only gotten positive remarks on it.We have a platform bedframe and do not use or need a boxspring.Easy to unpack but is heavy to move. But this is to be expected with any memory foam mattress. The material and density just make it heavier than traditional mattresses of the same size.

Very comfortable. But not 12”
After 2 weeks it has only reached 11”. That being said, I dont mind. I also find that my bottom queen sheet was difficult to put on it. Thiss mattress is about 3” wider than my old queen mattress. Which is obvious because I set it on top my old box spring and it hangs over 1.5” each side.Comfort: I had no time adjusting from a 10 yr. Old traditional mattress that was giving me joint pain. In fact, my joint pain is dramatically reduced. The mattress is firm, however once you lay in it it softens slightly to mold to your body. I am 135 lbs and find it extremely comfortable. But not so much that I am stuck in the abyss and cant roll over. However, The sides are a little softer than the center, which is fine with me as I tend to sleep towards the end of the bed anyway. And I sleep alone. If it lasts me a few years I am happy. For $300 and a good nights sleep, its worth it. I slept in a friends $1300 foam mattress for a weekend. I find this one just as comfortable. Had zero smell, I do not notice any cooling effect. 4 stars because size it is not 12” high as stated.

Making Mattress Stores Sad & Obsolete Everywhere.
Bought this for the guest room, but after trying it myself for one night, I think this will replace our other conventional mattresses in the future.First impression: surprisingly firm, yet delightfully comfy as the foam slowly adapts to your body. Next morning: you are in memory foam heaven, all your muscles are relaxed & smiling, and you do not want to get out of bed. Ever again. My guests may never leave. I might even pick a fight with my sweet boyfriend, just to get to sleep in the guest room again. The cooling gel adds firmness to what is already a well designed support system, and the memory foam gives such an indulgent, luxurious comfort, you’ll wonder if you’ve sleepwalked to a fancy hotel. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if every hotel chain started buying these. With a mattress this good, for a price this low, there is no excuse for any uncomfortable mattresses to exist anymore. I’ve only had mine for a month, but I’ve heard great things about durability from friends and other users, and with a 10 year warranty, this is a pretty low risk investment.Setup is a 2 person job, unless you just really like a comedic challenge. It is fun to open the box, roll it out on the bed, and watch it poof up. All poofed up, it looks exactly like any other mattress, and the size and fit dimensions are as expected. Give it a few days to fully “off-gas” before using it. It does firm up in the first few days. And please, if you can, try to recycle your old mattress responsibly- there are many orgs doing great things to keep them out of landfills, for the same price that that sad old mattress store was going to charge you to take your old mattress away to a landfill, after they sold you an overpriced, less comfortable mattress. You will never go back into a mattress store once you’ve tried this new mattress.

Wow what a bed. No, seriously!
I kept seeing reviews about people saying "wow, what a sleep" or "I don't know how I slept on my old bed" or "BEST SLEEP OF MY LIFE!" and I was like "yeah yeah... ok paid reviewer... sure sure!"Folks, I am here to tell you that they are in fact... 100 % correct! No shill BS here. I bought my bed with my own money and apart from this review now, Zinus doesn't know I exist. This bed is honestly life changing. I have some big mental health issues I'm dealing with and the part of my day that I know I will truly have relief is knowing that I have this stupendous bed to recharge in. From a quick cat nap when I'm feeling low during the day to a SOLID 7 hours sleep at night... this bed is like a human-charger. I'm actually finding myself getting emotional because for so so soooo many years I've had a terrible night sleep. With my medical issues I have a lot of chronic pain, anxiety, depression and only getting a couple hours straight sleep at a time does NOT do anything to help those issues. This bed changed all that and I'm so grateful to have taken the plunge and purchased the bed.I see so many reviews of people pouring on and on about the best sleep but it's true. For me at least, I came from a traditional pocket spring pillow top and box spring. I saw some reviewers say there's an adjustment period when you come from a traditional bed to foam. I didn't have that at all. Sure it felt strange with how little motion was transferred and how silent it was when rolling over, but there was no negative "oh jeez... this is going to take some getting used to" like I expected. I just layed down, and within minutes I was out like a light and stayed asleep all night. No mid-night awake for a bit and then hopefully right back to sleep. Just solid 7 hours in one shot. After 15 years my old bed had seen it's best days and perhaps it was a part of why the sleep wasn't good but looking back, I don't think that I ever did get a great nights rest on it. It was plush and was decent compared to a non pillow top but this foam... omg...Ok I promised I wasn't going to "wall of text" and just repeat what others have said but even after 2 nights sleeps on it, I know this is going to be a life long change in my life to always sleep on a bed like Zinus has here. Just buy it. It's an amazing price (at least time of writing this review) and it arrives fast. There was no adjustment period and honestly no negative. My whole bed with platform frame, headboard and under-bed storage costed less than a middle of the road traditional matress alone. I will never go back to one. I'm now a convert.Enjoy your night! Thanks again Zinus for making this bed. Truly astounding quality and value. (ok now I sound like a commercial... I'll stop)Cheers!

This mattress is far better than you think it is
I am a gentleman of size. A size large enough that it is statistically unlikely that anyone reading this review will be larger. I purchased this mattress because my old spring-based unit had finally reached its end of life and I was casting about for a replacement. When you're a size-enhanced individual, however, maths gets involved. Your options decrease.I rolled the dice on this model of mattress because, at the time of purchase, it was a little over $300 Canadian. At time of purchase, this is about the price of a bargain spring mattress. I had serious doubt that this would support me, but was worth the risk. The result was beyond my wildest expectations. The mattress provides amazing support, both for myself and my wife. I haven't slept this well in 20 years. Now, I have no way of knowing how long this mattress will last in this condition. Continued use will no doubt reduce the firmness and support of the foam. Just as spring mattresses eventually reach end of life, so too must this foam mattress. That said, I don't honestly think lifespan should be a serious consideration. The quality of the item is such that I am confident of getting at least a few years out of it, even at my size.More to the point, perhaps, the quality of the sleep is such that, at $300 Canadian for the mattress, I would glad buy a new one every year just to be able to sleep that well each night. The ability to wake up refreshed like this every morning will pay for itself a thousand fold. I've gotten more done in the first morning after my first night's sleep on this thing than I accomplished in most of the week prior. Coming from a broken down spring mattress that had me tossing and turning all night, the difference in quality of sleep really is that stark.

Good mattress
I tossed a 2k mattress for this under 400$ mattress. I like it has no springs to dig into my side as I sleep. It opened full in a day. No smell at all. Comfortable but very firm. It pretty good for the price point. If you want the next level of comfortable it will come at an exponential price

Incredible for the price
Bought the 10in KingI read a lot of reviews and was really hesitant before buying this mattress. First of all there was no smell at all when unpacking this. It inflated in a few minutes but we didn't use it for the first 2 nights. It did firm up during that waiting time and I suggest to everybody to wait like we did.First impression was that it feels a bit weird when you lie down on it for the first time. It feels hard at first and then you slowly sink into the top gel layer. It then conforms to your body and you will sink around 2 inch deep. If you move, the imprint of your body will stay there for like 15s and then totally disappears. This also feels weird at first.Once you get used to it is actually quite supportive and comfortable. The very first night, both me and my gf slept super well and have been sleeping well for the 2 weeks we've had it so far. It doesn't feel particularly hot as most people suggest memory foam normally does. I slept on my back, my side and my stomach and all 3 positions felt fine. Note that I do have an easier time sleeping on my back than I used to with this mattress. For the price, if this mattress lasts me around 5 years, I will be quite happy.

This is a side sleepers (human or K9) best friend!
Omg! I can't believe I bought this mattress for under $500. I was super skeptical because stuff like this can be hit or miss. I got the king size (12 inches). Definitely didn't want to regret my purchase and then get stuck figuring out how I'd return it. I am pleasantly surprised and proud of my purchase.Unpack:I was able to unpack it and place it on my bedframe by myself and it wasn't too bad at all (I'm 5'2). I do recommend getting help if you have stairs. Pretty heavy and awkward, especially if you're a shorter person.Decompression:This is what I was mostly worried about. I kept reading that a lot of people were having issues with this mattress reaching its true size; however, I found that it was almost at its true size within the first 24 hours. I still have another 48 hours to go and about an inch of decompression left.Chemical scent:I also kept reading a ton of complaints about the chemical scent. I found it dissipated within a few hours. Especially after I put on the mattress protector and my bedding.Firmness:I read that some buyers were disappointed at how soft or how firm this mattress is. As a side sleeper, I can't have a super firm bed, but I also feel uncomfortable with a super soft bed, as I sometimes combination sleep. I found this sank moderately at the right spots. I dont feel pressure points, but this is memory foam and that is the best for side sleepers (that's what my research tells me, anyhow). It also helps big dog joints (for those who sleep with their pups). I have a 122lbs Italian Mastiff, and she loves our new bed. My big girl falls asleep so quickly and sleeps all through the night without getting up to adjust herself. Still need more time to see if it continues.Value:My last mattress was over $2000. After buying this one at about $460-ish, I cannot believe I spent so much money on my last mattress. I guess I still need more time to form my final opinion, but for now, my gosh! Do I ever feel lucky to have come across this mattress. What type of sleepers should buy this:I highly recommend this mattress for side sleepers, as we typically need pressure relief for hips, knees and shoulders. This mattress sinks slightly in those places providing relief that is hard to find outside of the memory foam mattress spectrum.Combination or stomach sleepers may need something a bit more firm.1 year update:It's been nearly one year since I bought this mattress and my pup and I are still in love with it.It hasn't changed since my last review, except that it eventually reached its full decompression size of 12 inches within the first 72 hours. No chemical scent. Best sleep of my life.I will never go back to buying mattresses from a department store.2 year update:My big girl and I are still loving our mattress. It hasn't sunk in where we both sleep and it continues to be an amazing restful experience for the two of us.Now, when I sleep anywhere that isn't my mattress, I can feel the difference in quality and I miss my mattress lol.I will continue to stress that this is ideal for side sleepers. Combination and back sleepers may need something firmer, whilst stomach sleepers may require a softer mattress. If you're a side sleeper, give it a go! I don't regret this purchase one bit.
