2.5 Portable External Hard Drive Case for WD/Western Digital Element My Passport/Seagate Expansion Backup Plus/Samsung/Toshiba Shockproof Waterproof Hand Carry Hard Disk HDD Bag (Silver)

Love the color and feel of this case (bought the blue one). Works and fits perfectly for my WD Passport, plus waterproof!My only criticism is that there's no handle or way to attach/create one unless you tie a lanyard to the zipper's head (which pulls on it & ends up opening the case about an inch - & goodbye waterproofing then...) If you're needing to carry it around, utilizing the portability of your hard drive, then you might keep this in mind. There have been a couple times it slipped away from me... thankfully I've never dropped it further than onto my desktop, however. But it's something that I think could be improved upon.

This is a perfect fit for my Western Digital portable external drive, and appears to be well-constructed. There is one unpleasant aspect to this case, though, and that is the SMELL. I don't know if it's an industrial glue, or a dye, or off-gassing from the hard-sided case material itself, but this case has a very noticeable chemical reek like intense cigarette smoke or burnt tar. I am currently storing it in my desk drawer, hard drive zipped within, in the plastic bag that it shipped in, just to minimize the smell.

I wanted something that could protect my WD Elements hard drive and this is the perfect case for it. The hard drive fits exactly inside of it and there's a compartment for cords. I wish that compartment was a zipper to contain cords, SD cards, etc in there without the risk of it falling out when opening the case. I look forward to using this while traveling and see how it holds up inside of luggage and backpacks.

I wouldn't believe it's water proof. The case is hard and water repellent but the sides are connected with a cheap zipper that would let water penetrate without any trouble. Its a good size which would fit most WD products, my passport, my passport ultra and transcend hard disks.It gives additional space for flash drives and cables. Good hardy case but just not waterproof (the only reason I gave 3 stars)

The case met all expectations that I thought would be when I purchased it on Amazon. Right color, durable, fit my 4gb drive and cable perfectly.

Good case for the money. It seems to fit the new WD passport hard drive very well (almost as if they were custom made for that model). However, it could use more padding to protect the hard drive. Overall very pleased with the case and highly recommend it.

Perfect compact case. Sturdy zipper; rigid exterior and soft interior. Elastic strap keeps drive secure, and net keeps cord in place. Multiple colors help keep different drives easy to find in my IT bag. Low price is a bonus. Ordering another one today.

I feel like my hard drive backup is safe in this case. It seems substantial and it has enough space inside to keep the cable.

Perfect for the purpose. Nice colour as it matches the hard drive. Has a nice little pocket inside to keep the wires and elastic belt to keep the hard drive in place. As it says on the tin.
