Made my baby's tummy unhappy
Ingredients are almost identical to Similac Pro Advanced. Perhaps the difference is just in the Irish cow milk. Either way, neither Similar product worked for my infant. I went with a European brand and he is much, much happier.

exceptional quality
I'm happy to have found this formula. I'm not someone who is stuck on an organic label but grass fed and non gmo are very important to me. We had been buying European formula from an importer at nearly double the price per reconstituted ounce because I wasn't able to find an American formula that I felt comfortable using all the time. Now we've switched over to this. I was going back and fourth as to if the savings was worth it until I noticed on the can that this formula is a product of Ireland. I'm getting European formula that meets American safety and health standards without paying through the nose for it. I like it so much we're now also using the toddler formula for our slow to gain weight two year old who has been on and off pediasure which helped with the weight gain but has so many ingredients (corn syrup) that I was not ok with. Both the infant as well as the toddler versions mix easily and have a not great but not bad taste to my adult palate, neither of my kids seem to mind the flavor and both drank their respective versions readily. My little one has taken well to this formula. I transitioned over the course of a week with no digestive upset or colic. This formula seems to agree well with my baby and doesn't cause any constipation. I have to wonder if this is due to the exclusion of palm oil. Palm oil is included in many formulas as a cheap way of mimicking the palmitic acid found in breastmilk. The problem with it is twofold. It causes constipation by emulsifying into a sort of soap in the baby's intestines. It also has been shown to lead to lower levels of certain nutrients in the bloodstream of infants fed formula with palm oil. It was an ingredient that, until now, I've had to accept in order to get formula I was otherwise comfortable with.My favorite thing about this formula is the use of lactose as the carbohydrate source. Many formulas I've researched use corn syrup solids and corn maltodextrin to provide necessary carbohydrates. I much prefer to feed my baby a lactose based formula since lactose is what's found in breastmilk. I also like that it comes in large can which makes it economical (I've since ordered the big four pack after using this sample). If I had to come up with something I don't like about this formula it's the lack of a portable ready to feed version. Right now I keep travel sized bottles of the non gmo similac advance in the diaper bag for emergencies since the composition is very similar and it hasn't seemed to bother my little one to occasionally have a few ounces of something else but I would much prefer to use a ready to feed version of this exact formula both when out of the house as well as when I just need to grab a quick bottle at home or during the night. The price is surprisingly low for the quality. The cost is on par with other brand name formulas. As of today this pure bliss formula when purchased in the bulk pack of four large cans actually works out to half a cent less per reconstituted ounce than the non gmo similac advance. It's nice to be able to feed my little one a formula of exceptional quality for right around a hundred dollars a month.
