Good offer on price, waste of time in practice.Having finally registered with Thetis (a process I found messy and full of advertising) I looked down the list of sites and services that work with this key. Apart from Google, which I only use for searches, none of my other go to sites accept it. Banking, Paypal, Microsoft, etc, none of them work. I may have missed some obscure detail on later attempts as I was getting frustrated. If so I have to question why it should be so difficult to employ.The other point that cocerns me is the lack of feedback when attempts to set up the key fail. When I worked in IT (yes I'm one of them, 10 years systems analysis) making the processes idiot proof was a major goal. Not so with setting up these keys. If all this is my fault through not picking up the subtleties of the process then I have no way of knowing, as the apps don't tell me.If I can find the box it's going back.

Ich habe den Stick gekfauft, um ein wenig mit den (auf FIDO2 basierenden) Passkeys zu experimentieren. Am Windows - PC war die Einrichtung problemlos und der Stick tut, was er soll. Die Kopplung mit meinem iOS-Geräte hatte zunächst nicht funktioniert - später dann doch, weiß aber nicht genau, was ich dann anders gemacht hatte.Der Stick wirkt sehr robust und ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass er lange Zeit am Schlüsselbund aushält.Der Stick tut das, was er soll. Ich finde aber das Passkey-Verfahren insgesamt noch nicht ausgereift und werde es zunächst nicht produktiv einsetzen. Dafür kann aber der Stick nix

Das Ding ließ sich anstandslos mit Ubuntu verwenden, nachdem ich verstanden habe, dass neben in /dev/udev/rules.d auch in /dev/udev/rules.d/snap* Regeln für angelegt werden müssen. Einen entsprechenden Patch für Chromium+Firefox+Chrome hab' ich gleich eingereicht. Es läuft brav mit Android und hat eine Batterie oder einen Akku für den Bluetooth-Sender eingebaut, dass es auch ohne externe Stromversorgung klappt. Wasserfest in dem Sinne, dass es nach dem Trocknen wieder funktionieren wird, ist es damit wahrscheinlich nicht. Dafür macht es den Eindruck, für den Schlüsselbund ausreichend stabil zu sein.Ob die Energiequelle viele Jahre hält und ob die Taste ausreichend staubdicht für die Hosentasche ist, werde ich rausfinden.

I couldn't make it work neither in BLE neither in NFC mode. Successfuly registered the key in USB mode on my PC, but after connecting Bluetooth on my smartphone it didn't recognize the key in any way. When I tried to authenticate with it in Chrome in Android, it offered me either NFC or USB mode (Pixel 6 Pro, android 14). Nevertheless, when I tried to authenticate with NFC, it worked only once from numerous attempts and I couldn't reproduce it anymore (I know where my NFC antenna is, I use it quite a lot).The is almost no docs on the official web, no NFC troubleshooting, no info about BLE mode at all.Of course, the software is Windows only, it is ugly, though it works in USB mode.
