SockwaPlaya Hi Beach Socks Navy W9/M8

I've always liked these socks better than the Vincere's. Unfortunately, I don;t know if I'll be able to find these in the future.

The product itself is of good feel and quality; I did enjoy them for walking around the beach and parks. They are comfortable and provide protection from hot sand, hot asphalt and small pebbles. Really no complaints on the product at all and I would recommend for casual use. It would not be recommended for larger rock areas which would require a hard sole.Its not really that they are large but since they stretch I wanted a more snug fit.

Purchased for playing sand volleyball the last couple of weeks of the season during chilly nights and on rain-soaked courts. For that purpose, they were perfect. Only quibble is that the stitching is not holding up real well and there are consistent loose threads coming out of them now. No gaps or holes yet though. Just disappointed the stitching wasn't a little better, otherwise these are great.

I got a size smaller than I normally would, based on a review that said the sizing ran big. For me, the correct size corresponded to my shoe size (which is a women's 9.)They fit well, but are not extremely tight, so would work for a 9.5 as well, I'd imagine. The first set I ordered was a size too small and the big toe area tore out within 10 uses. However, I contacted Sockwa by email and they responded quickly and sent a replacement boot. Once I realized that the other boot was tearing and sent a picture to their customer service, we agreed that I'd bought the wrong size, and they sent me a full set of the correct size! That's in addition to the single boot they'd already sent to replace the wrong size one. Both items were sent immediately and reached me in 2 business days.As for the feel and quality of the boot, I love it. I like that there is a velcro closure so that I can tighten it up and keep out the sand. I find these very comfortable and much easier to put on than the brand I bought that didn't have the adjustable closure. (That brand always had to be peeled off and ended up inside out.)These are definitely my favorite sand socks so far. And if you have any problem with them, you'll likely get excellent customer service!

Worked well for all 3 games of my daughter's sand soccer tournament. The instructions that came separate from the packaging said toes should stick out beyond the soles a bit, and they fit as stated. They seem very durable, and with toe nails trimmed, there were no holes. There is also a Velcro closure on the back, sealing them from sand such that no taping was required. I found that it is better to close the Velcro when not in use to keep it from attaching to the sides of the socks and potentially pulling the fabric. I am saving them for next year.

My feet are a size 12, but I order size 13 in shoes, both tennis and office, because I like to wear cushioned socks. For these Sockwa sand socks, I ordered a 12, and they fit perfectly. They do not slide around on my feet and they keep the sand out very well. When the sun is out, we play on some incredibly hot sand for weekend pickup ball, and these socks are the bomb. My feet still feel great after three hours of sand volleyball.

These run small, but after you get the right size, they are great. I wear them with beach shoes, which add support. The socks keep the sand away from my feet. One trick ... I take the insole from the shoe and slip it inside the sock, then put on the shoe. I find this makes it more comfortable and more functional.

Other reviews indicated size would be smaller than expected. I found that to be true, but the fabric stretches a little, so the fit is snug but not uncomfortable. They look much sturdier than other brands, and the Velcro fastener does a better job of sealing out sand than I expected. Arch support is non existent, but not expected in a sand sock. I am very pleased so far.
