IOPE - the mid tier masstige Korean brands from Amore Pacific - is relatively uncommon in United States. Yet, it has been one of the most popular Korean brand in South Korean for past 30 years with their iconic retinol eye cream and cushion foundation. (Actually, this brand made world's first cushion foundation.) They used to focus on the scent and texture, yet the Derma Repair line has more Korean brand's identity - clean ingredients and high active ingredients. So let me explain you about this excellent moisturizer.Ingredients:It has pretty clean ingredients, made with many short/long chain alcohols and betaine and panthenol in the 3rd and 4th, CCTG in 5th. So, it does contain good amount (assumably) of hydrating / skin recovering ingredients. Long chain alcohols and polymers for texture follows and does contain very little madecassoside (Cica ingredient) and used 1,2 hexanediol / vitamin E as preservatives. It contains squalene , which is a skin identical molecule as well. Yet, the cica itself is with negligible amount, so if you are looking for some centella asiatica related products, probably this is not for you.Texture:It has very watery texture and due to the short chain alcohols, it gives nice cooling sensation. Yet, it hydrates the skin instantaneously, so it is especially useful after the sun exposure. It hydrates skin well however the Cream version seems work better on extremely dry skin. It gives nice lit-from within look under makeup and keep the skin moderately hydrated without being sticky.Effectiveness:As I mentioned, due to the panthenol and betaine (and short chain alcohols) it soothes the irritated skin very well - after sun exposure or retinol irritation, I always come back to this cream. Also, as I mentioned, it works like glue for the foundation.Buy this if you need: a non-heavy, light weighted glowing moisturizerDon't if you need a: budget friendly skincare product. Yet, I don't think you can find comparable product in terms of texture, ingredient and finish.

This cica gel cream is full of clean and soothing ingredients. I love that this gel cream is so soothing and refreshing for my occasional sensitive dry skin. This gel cream is very light weight and a little bit goes a long way. This gel cream feels very cooling and refreshing on application and absorbs pretty quickly leaving my skin feeling freshly hydrated and calm. This is not a product I use daily but rather when my skin has some redness, irritation and dryness. Although for those who are more sensitive to product ingredients this gel cream could easily be used daily for both is calming and hydrating effects/benefits. I’ve been using this cream for about 2 weeks using it only when needed and I am very happy with how instantly soothing and calming this gel cream is. It immediately calms my redness and dryness. I appreciate the 12 month shelf life of this product especially since it’s not something I’ll use every day consistently.Although I am new to this IOPE brand I am a loyal customer to Amore Pacific brand and conglomerate brands for about 7 years now. (Which includes brands like innisfree, primera, laneige, and sulwahsoo) Amore Pacific is a superb brand with outstanding products and this one is no exception! Between the Amore Pacific brand and conglomerate they have some of the best products on the market in my opinion. I’m thrilled with how effective this calming cica gel cream is and would highly recommend it to anyone with sensitive dry skin. This is the second product I have had the opportunity to try by the IOPE brand and I’m very happy with my experience with this product and how well this product works. I’ve already recommend this specific cream to my sister who has VERY sensitive skin. Absolutely love this gel cream!! Because it is a gel cream, don't expect it to be super thick and dense. It is light like a lotion. It is so moisturizing! It doesn't have any scent so it is perfect for people who have a sensitivity to that. I have very sensitive skin and it hasn't irritated it in the slightest! It definitely leaves my skin feeling soothed, moisturized and happy! I also love how has such healthy ingredients and doesn't have parabens, synthetic colorants, fragrances, mineral oils, polyacrylamides, silicone and many other things! Awesome product!

This is a nice gel cream that absorbs well and has a refreshing feeling to it. Being a gel I hoped it might have ingredients safe for fungal acne and seborrheic dermatitis, but it's not safe. It doesn't have any fragrance that I can detect. It's lightweight and doesn't leave a greasy or tacky feeling behind.
