This helps get a great job of drywall mud.
I got this to put drywall mud over textured wallpaper. We tried removing the wallpaper but it was just a real pain. Ultimately we used mud on the wall applied with a paint roller and used this skimmer to make a smooth even coat. It did a great job, helped limit the amount of sanding necessary. We had to do four walls in a large room. I recommend a round sander with a broom handle to help with a job like this. BE CAREFUL--its edges are sharp and the blade is thin and so I cut myself with it at least once. Sharp enough that it cuts you before you even know that you've cut yourself. Maybe gloves are a good idea? But the thin blade and its flexibility I think are keys to its performance. So just beware.

Exceeds expectations
Bought these to skim the ceiling in our bedroom that had been textured in the 1990's (poorly). I sanded the texture off with a HFT drywall sander and skimmed it as per the videos I watched on the internet.Rolled thinned-down mud on and used these to work it smooth. By the end, I was pretty damn pleased with my results (the tools certainly aren't to blame). resanded and touched up a few areas and it's smooth as a smooth thing. I'm just a DIY guy so no need to drop big money on tools I only use occasionally but the quality of these is very good for my needs and the results produced are fantastic!Definitely a learning curve using them, here are my takeaways...1: Really thin your mud, general-purpose mud is recommended and worked just fine but you really have to water it down to make it roll and skim nicely, won't be as thick a build as your expecting so finish your seams out nicely, it won't fix bad spots.2: Work fast and be prepared, the mud dries fast and time is of the essence. Have cleanup buckets, sponges, towels, and maybe a helper ready. Make sure the floor is clear of stuff and well-protected from drips...3: I did best with the wide blade, the room was 17x17 so I had a lot of real estate to cover, the smaller blades worked very well for tape seams and small areas. I will probably use these from now on to finish my seams even if I'm not skimming the entire wall.4: Watch plenty of videos on the procedures, lots of good advice that made my job go so well.

Great value
Product arrived in great condition. This is my first set of skim blades. Overall, this is a great value and I wish I had ordered these years ago. I'm a bit of a perfectionist with feathering edges, and this is a must have for making "flat" walls and working out air pocks in mud.Note that the skim blade comes from the factory with a sharp edge. I gave it a light pass with sand paper to debur/break the sharp edges. That way, my walls aren't the honing surface. One thing that surprised me is the amount of muscle power it takes to use these - especially the larger sizes. Skip arm day at the gym after using the 32" over a full work day.The 10" is good, but I can't say it is that much different than a 12" drywall knife. The telescoping pole is decent to use, but I found that I have get better control without the pole.So this kit is a great value but if I had it to do over, I'd probably just get the 24" blade by itself.

Good for a small diy job
Product worked well, I had 3 walls that needed skim coated and this did a great job smoothing it out.

Excellent drywall finish tools
It took a bit of practice to master these tools, but the result was well worth the time. I was able to quickly finish small patches to entire walls with pro-grade results. Make sure to clean well after use, and use the blade protectors!

Game changer
I used a 12” before this. Won’t ever use again unless doing a very small project. This worked great!

Good and so-so
This produces a nice big 24" wide flat skim coat - that is what I like. I had a big (24' x 27') ceiling to skim and it helps to have someone putting on mud and another to skim. Not easy. I went back to my 12" knife for a final coat. I would certainly use it for smaller to medium jobs. Quality of the blade was fine.

Great set of skimming blades
This is my first set of skimming blades and so far I haven't been disappointed, blades seem well built and work great, my only regret is it doesn't come with a case but otherwise the blades are great.
