I’ve been through many heated blankets over the years! Sadly they don’t seem to last as long as they used to. My fingers are cross this one will last longer than a year before it dies. I’ve only had it for a week at the time of this review.The good- this is the first blanket I’ve had with an app control feature. I love being able to control it from my phone! As with any wifi enabled device I’ve used, it was a little tricky to set up initially, but not nearly as challenging as some other devices. The app is easy to use and has a scheduling feature which I love. I’m quite picky through the night and know when I want it on and can set multiple schedules. The wires are the thinnest of any blanket I have had and also lay nice and flat, not stiff and raised.The so-so- this blanket is not as hot as previous blankets I’ve had. However, it seems to warm me more evenly, and so I’ve been happy with it. I do not like the fabric at all. I would not call this fleece. It is very soft, but is more like a Sherpa feeling to me. I don’t like how Sherpa gets things stuck in it over time, and I feel like that will happen with this blanket.

Bought this for my wife. Set up the app to come on before we head to bed. Settings from 1 to 10 give a nice range. Then it can turn off during the night before she gets too hot. PERFECT. Now there is a lot less cold hands and feet on me! Highly recommend.

I bought this for/because of my cats. Previously I had a heated throw with a 10hr timer, and I'd often forget to turn on at night & where my cats sleep can get pretty cold. I got this because it was programmable ...and then I found it has a always-on option. I've snuggled with them a few times and find it super comfy and gets plenty warm. As long as it holds up reasonably I'm glad I went for it.Will update if something changes.

After sifting through countless brands, I decided to buy this one primarily based on its wifi capabilities as I wanted to be able to set a schedule for when it turned off and on, as well as lowering the heat during the night since I knew we would likely keep it on the whole time we slept. Unlike many other brands I've looked into, this blanket allows you to keep it on for up to 10 hours. I like that it has 10 heat settings since I tend to sleep hot and my husband sleeps cold, so I can at least set my side to be really low. The preheat setting is awesome so we never have to get into a cold bed ever again! While I initially thought it didn't get very warm (don't let the surface temperature fool you), it does get quite warm on its own as a standalone blanket and gets toasty if you sit or lie on top of it. Since we laid this as a topper over a down comforter and flat sheet, it ends up making me so hot by the middle of the night that I have to push the blanket and comforter off of me (I think I need to set my side even lower lol). It does its job so well that even our cat has to jump off of it after lying on it a while. I LOVE how soft and cozy it feels on my skin so I look forward to using it by itself when the weather starts to warm up a little. I ordered a king size for our queen bed because I thought it was important that we get as much heated coverage as possible once the snow arrives, and its size actually works perfectly. I wouldn't say it was necessarily worth being well over $100 but I'm glad it works exactly as I expected and keeps hubby happy. I just wish it came in other colors as I was only able to find this particular model/style in dark grey.

This electric blanket is totally worthless, it barely gets warm enough to detect any heat and is a huge fire risk. I put this on the highest heat setting and left it for an hour. When I checked it again, I could barely detect any heat at all even when pressing down on a wire. On the other hand, the controller gets super hot, much hotter than the actual blanket and hot enough to burn part of the cord that was laying along side. I was thinking "Wow, this blanket produces no heat except in the controller which literally gets so hot that it starts to melt its own cord and is the only part of the blanket that produces any heat!"DO NOT SLEEP WITH THIS ON OR LEAVE IT UNATTENDED as it can seriously burn you or anyone laying near it and if left like this, it will start to melt and cause a fire!What a worthless piece of crap! It does not function as an electric blanket because the blanket does NOT get even a little warm. I went through the minimal instructions and even tried contacting customer support who told me there's NOTHING they can do to help as their warranty has so many holes in it that nothing is covered. If you have a problem caused by their atrocious quality control, all you can do is return it to Amazon because Sunbeam totally does not care and won't do a single thing to help a customer with a poorly made, dangerous product under warranty! I contacted them the same day I received it and was told there was NOTHING in the warranty that could possibly help me.Sunbeam told me not to use it as they agreed it was faulty and unsafe to use, but they would not do a single thing to help me with it except to tell me to return it to Amazon! In other words, they made a crappy, totally unsafe product and dumped all responsibility on Amazon! I now have to pay $9 to return it!Material sheds dark gray fluff like crazy all over everything and the stitching is already starting to come apart even though it has never been washed and was only briefly used once! Material is an extremely thin fleece. It's so thin that if you have any kind of breeze or draft in your bedroom, the cold air goes right through this thin material so this blanket doesn't even work as a non-electric blanket, it can't even hold in enough of your body heat to provide any kind of warmth - NONE!I was so excited to buy this as it seemed really great in the description, but it has MASSIVE issues and problems. The wifi never connects and is dysfunctional, it is incapable of providing any kind of warmth either as an electric or as a conventional blanket, it sheds like crazy and is already falling apart, controller gets so hot that the cord starts to melt and it will cause a serious burn if it touches your skin, and it has the very strong potential to cause a fire or other high heat related damage from the malfunctioning controller and cord. Their warranty is worthless. As others have pointed out, Sunbeam refuses to do a single thing to honor their warranty (it's worthless too). Other companies would at least help with troubleshooting and a replacement for the sake of safety, but not Sunbeam, they tell you to go jump.I wish I could give this negative stars. Sunbeam used to be a great brand, but once they moved production to China, quality control has plummeted and now what you get is absolute junk, is worthless, and it has the potential to cause a massive amount of damage to your home.WORTHLESS, DANGEROUS JUNK!!!

This works great, but there are a few features to be aware of before buying. Purchased the king size, but there is only one control box. Other brands tend to have one for each side. The app has some weird parts to it as well. If you turn it off on the app, you are blocked from turning it back on for 2 hours or until you use the control.Thick and soft material. It is a great deal for the price. Machine washable, true to size and color.
