Thermocouple replacement Reddy/Desa/Master/LP Heater 113884-01

copper line broke when installing bought another

I ordered this to fit as an exact replacement. It was an even close. Had to modify the wiring and connectors to make it work. Not very happy that i had to modify my heater to make it work.

The thermocouple was just what I was looking for except one thing. The nut on the end was put on backwards. The threaded end was facing the inside of the copper line instead of facing the end. could be a simple mistake but doesn't work the way it is, It is the nut between the wire connections and the end of the probe.

These are really one size fits most, not all. Measure your thermocouple and take a look at the end fitting before buying or you may end up doing some fabrication to make it work.
