Regular/quasi-authentic optic sights on Mosin rifle require drilling the stock, and the sights are put on its left side. It breaks your neck to shoot. This kit is a great alternative, very simple and convenient. It requires some zeroing but the final result is great. The only thing is that you will need a scout scope, because eye relief becomes too long. I would suggest a laser boresight for initial zeroing and Vortex Optics Crossfire II 2-7x32 Scout, Second Focal Plane, 1-inch Tube Riflescope - V-Plex Reticle as a middle-price option for the sights. Worked very well for me. Important - you always can return your rifle to its original conditions in 10-20 minutes

Fit on my m38 mosin great. Was able to level it and threadlock the screws down tight. They also give you a good bit of blue thread locker i was able to use on the scope rings and a few other gun parts.

Worth every penny! Shooting 200 yards like nothing. Very confident to shoot further and am on the hunt for a new LER scope that’s higher then 7 power. 7 power just isn’t enough! The gun has the ability to shoot accurately much further then 200 yards!

This is the best option for a scope mount on the mosin. Was a little hard to wedge in at first but was able to fit without filing. Mine came with a replacement pin.

So far so good. First installed it was too high. Adjusted the height and began sighting in the scope. Using a vortex crossfire II LER. 5 shots @ 100 yards. The rifle is far from a tack driver.

Easy install, solid mount. Don't waste your time and money on cheaper mounts. Buy the Bad Ace mount and be done in a few minutes.

if it positioned the rails just a bit more forward I could mount the scout scope the slightest bit more forward and would be able to use stripper clips without bumping the eye piece of the scope. cheap and does the job.

I bought it for my brother and he really likes it with his Long Eyereleif Scout scope.
