It's never a bad thing to learn more about other people
This is my first step in becoming more aware of children and people in general who are on the autism spectrum. This book is a great first step in learning how the mind of an autistic person works.

Good introduction for those living or working with autistic children
Nice little introductory book to autism in children. Chapter topics include common challenges that autistic children deal with, the ASD diagnosis process, common signs of autism, the similarities and differences between ADHD and autism, how best to understand and support autistic children, and many more. While this is a good introduction to the topic of autism in children, it is only around 60 pages long, so it is not overly comprehensive. There are also some issues with the wording and grammar/spelling of the text in places. However, if you can overlook these issues then there are plenty of important things to learn from it.

Skinny book for the money. Some good tips. But too expensive. .

Good introduction and overview
Finally a book that lays things down simply and practically. Definitely just an introduction, could do with more but I appreciate the simplicity of this book also.

Brief and didactic
There is no clue as to the author's experience, qualifications or reasons for writing the book. It is printed by Amazon but there is no publisher's name in my copy. Much of its good advice is better explained elsewhere and the claim on the cover that it is 'The Ultimate Guide to Autism....' is difficult to understand.

Was ok
The book was ok, but for the price you would expect something more. Couple of good tips and thats all, but nothing new that I didnt know already, most of it can be found on google

Great for peope who know nothing about ASD
This book is definitely beneficial for individuals encountering ASD for the first time. I recommend it to parents whose children have been diagnosed with ASD and lack background knowledge or education on the matter. The book presents extensive information in simple language and serves as an excellent starting point for exploring ASD.

Loved this book!
I absolutely loved this book and it has everything you will ever need about autism in children. The book starts with the explanation of autism, why it happens and what are the best practices. It goes into length about the latest scientific research and has a lot of pragmatic advice on how to go about implementing everything. I feel like a lot of books out there just talk about there but they don't give concrete advice on how to go about applying that theory in real life. This book does just that it really helped me a lot with my autistic daughter. As I said, there are a lot of autism books for children out there and I read many of them but this one I like the most. It makes a complicated topic easy to understand and it doesn't provide you with a bunch of information you don't need or is hard to understand. I really liked the part about how to go about teaching your child about socializing and making friendships. That has been one of the main sticking points and with the advice that's provided in this book we were able to make great progress in a very short amount of time. So if you're looking to help your child and learn more about autism I would definitely recommend getting the book, happy I purchased it.

Lots of good information
Although there was a lot of interesting and wonderful techniques. I was looking more for ways to help preschool age autistism children to adjust in a classroom setting. Either way there were lots of good information and ideals of ways to help.

Great book for learning
Even if you don’t have a child with autism, this book is a great read to help you gain a better understanding of something that is so common in young children these days. This book is a quick and simple read, making a rather complicated topic easier to digest for the average parent. My favorite part of this book is Chapter 12 which goes over proven techniques that work to help focus on calming down breathing. On the spectrum or not, these breathing techniques are powerful tools that can help anyone that is anxious or needs to remember how to take a moment to calm down.Child development is a very complicated topic and it’s hard to come across books that are easy to comprehend. This book is exactly that.
