Famili TPW01 6.5" Food Probe Replacement for MT004, OT007, OT009, TP-10, MT-16, OT-08(food probe), Thermopro TP04 TP06s TP07 TP08 (food probe), TP09B TP16 TP20, Habor HCP5H

I've been extremely careful with these probes, never submerging, always careful with running the line without kinks - routing so my diffuser arm is directly underneath to avoid excess heat to it... Two have failed just within a couple months of eachother. I know probes are probes, but I smoke and don't grill... Always temps under 325. I think two failures in probably less than 5 uses is poor. My opinion...

...for my Thermopro TP-20. Just did the water-boil test and the 2 probes stayed within 2F when +212F happened. Don't be tempted by the cheaper probes listed nearby these. I ordered 2 of those last week and they failed the boil-test when connected to my Thermopro At boil, they were both reading around +180F.I make a lot of use of the Thermopro. Not as much as somebody on the pro circuit but more than a weekend duffer (retirement is NOT overrated). These new probes will be used on a gas grill, a kamado, a wood smoker and a gas smoker. If I get a year and a half out of these replacement probes I will be pleased enough to get another pair. I haven't received any promises nor anything gratis for the above. Just sayin', if you need replacements for an original Thermopro TP-20 transmitter, these get it done

I bought this last summer for use with my ThermoPro. In the last few weeks my steaks were turning out overdone. The second time it happened I decided to check the probe, so I compared its measurement of some water heated to about 150F with another digital thermometer I've always found accurate. It was off by about 12 degrees. Other replacement probes I've bought just died, but going inaccurate is worse, since it ruins my food.

I was having trouble getting a reading on the temperature gauge. Ordered this new probe and fixed the issue! This probe and the Famili are the greatest

Works super well with my outside temperature gauge. Do not wash these in the dish washer, they will not work as well afterwards (As stated by the manufacturer).

I have only tested the new probe to see if it is compatible - - - I have not actually used the unit yet.

Works exactly as it should. I use it for the oven, the grill, the smoker, and the Instant pot for making yogurt :)

For the cost this seems to be a good unit. Though the probes don't always last forever they seem to be acurate and are reasonable if they need to be replaced.
