Idiot-proof basal body thermometer
Has been working great. I'm using FAM for contraception after getting tired of the side effects I was having with the pill. I have a silent alarm on my fitbit for 5:45 am to remind me to take my temperature. I grab it off the nightstand, take my temperature, click it back together, and I'm back to sleep for another half hour or more. It automatically syncs with my Ipad, even if the Ipad is downstairs.I will add that the Kindara Wink setup on Android doesn't work very well. I have both an Ipad and an Android phone, so I just ended up installing it on the Ipad.

Breaks easily, not worth the money.
UPDATE: after they sent me a new one when my first one broke, this one only lasted a few more months before it stopped charging. Also - the advertise it as pretty solid, the FAQ page on their website states "We've designed Wink to be water resistant and durable to withstand common accidents, including being knocked off your bedside table and kicked across the floor." Which simply is false. My wink fell 2 feet off my nightstand and has a crack in it, surprisingly it is still working other than not charging. Also - they will not honor the warranty period based on when my replacement item came to me so now they are refusing to repair or replace this item. SAVE YOUR MONEY this thing is not worth it. When this worked it was great. I had on/off Bluetooth connectivity issues with my iPhone 6. Got a new iPhone 10 and those seemed to solve themselves.... was going good until the stem and the top broke apart within 5 months. I am waiting to see how Wink warranty will handle this and will update my review at that time. It’s really expensive for a thermometer and limits you to just the Kindara app to make it worth it and there are many other apps for cycle tracking.

Randomly Broke this Morning
This thermometer has been great for the past six months, but it unexpectedly broke this morning. When I reached over to take my temperature, I felt a crack in the plastic on the top. When I tried to remove the cap, I discovered that it was broken and I could see wired and hardware. I have filed a claim with Asurion, the warranty provider, but have not received a clear response as to how soon I can get a replacement. I now see that Wink is unavailable on Amazon and am extremely nervous about obtaining a replacement. I have been diligently tracking my cycles for the past six months using the Kindara app and this is the worst possible time for Wink to break. I leave for Australia in 12 days and will be there for 3 months total, spending time with my fiancé and his family. You can see why Wink breaking now would pose a problem. I may post a photo of the damage when I get home, but it's basically the same as what happened to another user.More than anything, I want a replacement, but if that is not possible, I would like a refund so that I can quickly purchase a similar product.Before Wink broke, it was wonderful. I love the way it is integrated with the app and am so disappointed that the thermometer itself has broken after only half a year. I will update this review with information about what happened with the 3-year warranty I purchased.

Won’t close properly anymore
Hey y’all, I love this kindara. I’ve been charting for years and this saves about 5 minutes in my morning routine every day.I would give 5 stars for this because I think it’s a great concept and it’s beautiful and I love the app. However, I’m giving 3 stars because I received this only 4 months ago and already the casing doesn’t clip shut like it did at first. What this means is that if you set it down, the thermometer part easily slides out from is case and onto the surface it’s resting on. I’ve never traveled with it, it is only ever in my nightstand drawer.It would be nice if I could get a replacement for either the top or bottom, whatever would make it close properly. I’ll see what I can do about that. But in the mean time, this is getting 3 stars.

Wink works! But there is an important missing link
If I were to just review the Wink I would have given it five stars, but there is a very important missing link that the developers need to address.First off, the thermometer does exactly what it says. I've been charting on & off for over a year with a standard (less than $20) basal thermometer not linked to an app and used the TCOYF app to manually track my data. The only thing I would have liked on the Wink is more notice of when it needs to be charged and when it is fully charged, a simple change could be making a green light when charging to red when fully charged.The missing link is the app. You cannot rate the Wink without the app, they go hand in hand. They need to show love to the app that the Wink was developed to work with. Maybe I'm biased as I have gotten used to the TCOYF app (and still manually input my data from the Kindara app to the TCOYF app) but there are tons of opportunities here they are missing. I've attached my current chart from both apps to compare. Sensation, and position are important, and the Kindara app gives you no place to put this information, also the temps on the Kindara app chart could be cleared.If the app for the Wink was better developed, and I didn't have to manually input my data into a better app, it would make the $100+ cost of Wink justifiable. As it is now the advantages I get from the Wink do not justify the price.

Stopped charging, no customer service response
I purchased my Wink in July 2017, and it’s been working great, until recently it stopped charging, rendering it obsolete. I emailed Kindara customer service, and it has been 12 days since my initial email regarding my broken Wink. I am astonished to not have received anything besides the initial automated email response, despite my follow up emails. I can’t find any other way of contacting customer service, and I started a new ticket thread only to find it also was assigned to the same service rep, with no response.I don’t understand what’s going on, and am incredibly frustrated by the lack of care given to this issue. I need a replacement Wink. I am within the 1 year warranty. Please let me know how to proceed ASAP.
