If you don't know when you ovulate, buy this.
My husband and I had been trying to have kids for a little over two years. I purchased this thermometer in June so I could actually see when I was ovulating. Apparently I was wrong when I thought I was, and I had never done any test to see when it actually was. The first month I recorded my basal body temperature, and saw the spike, we tried again. I'm currently 6 months pregnant and legitimately the only thing we changed from the two years of trying was one month of recording my BBT.

The thermometer works just like it should
HUGE value for the price. The thermometer works just like it should, and the pregnancy tests are a great bonus, but the real value is the included eBook. LOTS of stuff on Amazon comes with free eBooks these days, and they're usually worth exactly what they cost - zero. THIS is the exception - it is in-depth, accessible, not loaded with jargon, and written by an actual Labor and Delivery nurse (who based on the name of the brand is also the owner of the company). VERY cool to get everything you need to know on tracking your ovulation from someone who helps expecting moms for a living.

Inconsistent / doesn’t beep / beeps too soon
It’s been just over 2 months since I had it so I couldn’t return it through Amazon.The temperatures are very inconsistent - I take it 3 times in a row and the temps are wildly different. I’ve tried this on many occasions. I’ve tried it orally as well as vaginally.Doesn’t beep or beeps too soon. Some mornings I wait and wait and it doesn’t beep. I take a look and it seems to have taken the temp already. Other mornings it beeps 10 seconds into temping, which I feel is suspect because an accurate BBT shouldn’t be that fast!Very frustrating, I bought another brand to replace this.

Failed calibration :(
Love the backlight, love the bundle, love that it saves your most recent measurement so that you can look at it later... but unfortunately all of that can’t make up for the fact that the darn thing is inaccurate. I’ve tried to calibrate it a few times and it failed every time. The readings are often a full degree apart. And sometimes it just turns off in the middle of taking a reading. Really bummed!

Me or the Thermometer?
I can't tell if the issue is with me or the thermometer...My temperature appears to be extremely inconsistent, which is not helpful if trying to track your cycle, as it is necessary to track even the slightest change. I realize that external factors (e.g., sleep times, fans, AC, etc.) affect your daily bbt, however, I also think the thermometer is inconsistent. Some days it takes forever to calculate, and some days it is very quick. Overall, this seems like a good product, but I wish I knew where the inconsistency came from.

Takes accurate bbt temperature
This works to get a good bbt reading but not without issue. I didn’t find a lot of simple options when I was shopping for my bbt thermometer so I Ended up getting this one. First of all, the first time I turned it on it started flashing Lo and I assumed this meant low battery but I didn’t replace it and it’s lasted 2 months so far. So I have a hunch it just means low temp because when you take a reading you put it in your mouth first then turn it on and wait for beep. Second It’s saposed to have a memory recall of the last temp you took so you can fall back asleep and record later I did this for 3 days in a row only to realize the thermometer just says 97.70 everytime I turn it on no matter the last temp taken. So it did kinda screw up my chart. But all that said it takes accurate readings I use it in the same place in my mouth within 3ish hours every morning and get accurate ovulation charts with the data in my fertility friend app.

Could use improvements
The backlight only stays on for a few seconds when turned on and again when it beeps, but turns off while you're temping. I wish it stayed on the whole time. Sometimes the reading takes a minute, but it has taken FIVE MINUTES on a few occassions. (I know because I looked at the clock before and after because I had to pee!) It's a nice thermometer aesthetically but I think I like my old $8 one just as much.ETA: I don't think readings are accurate. I'll take it once and it will read 98. I'll take it immediately again and it will read 97.5... within minutes of eachother! I also find the thermometer to be really top heavy and I have to hold it in my mouth.

Great!
As other reviews have stated, this thermometer does take a long time to register a temperature. However, that is something I can definitely live with. I have been using this thermometer since the end of August. At first, I would temp with both my old thermometer (measures to 1/10th of a degree) and this one. This one is much more accurate/precise, which is helpful for tracking my daily BBT. I now have full confidence in the accuracy of my reading with this device, so I discontinued the use of my old thermometer. In addition, I really appreciate the soft beep(s) of this thermometer. I don't have to worry that it will wake my husband, yet I have no trouble hearing when I turn it on or when the reading is complete.
