DC League of Super-Pets: The Great Mxy-up

If you enjoyed the movie, this story takes place right after. This book is family friendly and full of action and suspense. Mxy isn’t one of my favorite characters but it’s good to see the Super Pets again. The story and pace are good as is the art work and lettering. This is a well produced solid graphic novel that I’m glad I picked up. I like how the creators honored their own real life(super)pets.

The League of Super Pets tie-in is a fun little book. Amazingly, this book was already in the stores before the film was released in the theaters. Talk about fast. The writers capture all the characters voices' well, especially Lulu, the maniacal hamster, voiced by Kate McKinnon. Very developed plot for a children's book, and filed with in-jokes (just like the movie), which more of today's comics should do instead of being so grim and serious. More grown-ups should read kids books. They can be fun.--JThreeWilliston, ND
