Flawless.
This is an album you want a hardcopy of on either CD or vinyl; the mp3 version is good but this album is so amazing you need to listen front to back on really good speakers in the highest possible quality. It's just one of those albums that is worth going out of your way to appreciate. There is really not one bad song on this one, in my opinion of course. They all flow seamlessly and the whole thing is not too short or too long if you like to listen to full albums at a time. Regardless of the style you are most drawn to, it is really difficult to dislike this album because the finished product they put out seems to mix so many of the best elements of great metal. Its so heavy and energizing, but also gives you a sense calmness that you would normally only achieve by listening to really mellow stuff. Find it on vinyl or at least buy the CD.

I wonder if they play this in Heaven
This is by far the best moonsorrow cd of all, it makes all their earlier ones look like trash. If you were going to get only one of their cd's then it should be this one. On this album they have a great epic sound throughout which is just amazing. The metal and folk elements are still there but they were somehow able to harness them to make this album very epic, at least in my opinion. All the songs seem to start out slow and acoustic and then pick up pace and end just as they began until the next song starts. The first track is the best by far. It features clean and harsh vocals and a great chorus, probaly their best one. Towards the end it slows and and moves to the second song. This song is my least favorite but it's still good. The third song is my second favorite because it has a great energenic feel to it and everytime I listen to it I feel like going out on a viking raid or something. Songs 4 and 5 seem to be the most folksy on the album. They both contain quite a bit of violin and accordion. Song 4 has harsh vocals, clean volcals and a chorus. Song 5 is mostly instrumental ,with the first 3 minutes being acoustic, and their is only a little folk singing and a chorus. The last track is purely a slow folk song. It only uses acoustic instruments and it features a female singer with a chorus. This song is the slowest one but it has a hauntingly beautiful sound to it. If you like black/ folk/ epic metal or just epic music in general then you should get this cd.

Probably a good starting point to start digging into Moonsorrow.
Incredible album and the beginning of a new era for Moonsorrow.***If you purchase the album and notice that skips and has massive distortion in a few tracks, don't hesitate to contact amazon to get a replacement. I bought it three times and twice came out with the same problem***

Dark Side of the Moonsorrow
Moonsorrow is a group that deserves way more due. Aside from Enslaved, these guys pump out some of the best progressive folk metal out there. The first four albums are just amazing. Of their more Floydian outtings, this is my favorite. It foregoes the arguably pretentious song lengths of the later releases and crafts an epic journey from start to finish.

I love this - the best epic folk metal
Rauniolla is an incredible song - buy it just for that but everything on here is all great - this is really special like Tulimyrsky - folk metal doesn't get any better than this - this is definitely their best in my opinion -this is one of my favorite cds
