Works great but heats up fast and you have to cycle through very low beam to turn off I have run the bat down leaving it on a lot because of this.1st push MED2nd Full power3rd Low4th off

Excellent, reliable, beats Nitcore 18350 version, well worth the price, compact, made well.
This is the most compact high output on the market and I am going to buy another one. I bought the Nitecore 18350 version of this and that one is twice the price and piece of junk as was intermittent then finally totally dead soon after. Nitecore says they do not honor any warranty if not bought from a authorized distributor, so if you get one as a present like I did you are out of luck when it dies. Nitecore is garbage anyway. This Astrolux is amazing as it is substantially more reliable than the Nitecore and I can abuse the switch and it never fails also can take it apart and put it back together and never fails unlike Nitecore where I took it apart and put back together and never turned on again. If you need bright and reliable and compact you need this one and it has low mode which is very good and battery should last very long time. As far as I know only Astrolux and Nitcore make a light for the 18350. You have to make sure that your charger takes these smaller batteries.
