Get those speakers connected and lets Blast Off!
After a lot of research I purchased the Nobsound Lepy 168Plus Mini 2.1 Channel 80W+68W amplifier to replace a broken Maxell soundbase for my Samsung plasma TV sound system. The broken soundbase cost me over £150 (and only just out of warranty!) so I didn't want to splash out a lot of cash on an expensive alternative. Although the soundbase was no longer working the internal 2 x 30 watt speakers and 100 watt sub woofer were still physically okay inside the soundbase. So I disconnected the speakers from the soundbase wiring and re-wired the existing speakers into the new amplifier (allowing me to keep the wooden soundbase with the TV sat on top) plus an additional extra pair of bookshelf speakers for some extra 'oomph' output for the TV sound, the subwoofer connections that worked for me was the connections '0' +/-.I connected my Samsung TV from the headphone jack directly to the Lepy 168 plus R/L audio input. The output sound from the TV was far better than the original Maxell soundbase presets, the Bass/Treble and Subwoofer control dials offer a more personal choice in finding the right sound output for my pleasurable listening. Action war films and music scores are more realistic now and a lot richer in sound quality than before. I love listening to music on my android phone and this is where the Bluetooth comes in real handy, a quick connection with a nice beeping sound to let me know my android phone is connected. The Bluetooth connection range extended upto 10 metres before any break up of signal and the connection is solid and reliable with very little drop out. The Subwoofer dial controls are great for delivering and adding a great bass sound to my music, a little blue light flashes every time a deep base note is heard and the deep base settings offered by the Subwoofer controls works really well. The USB stick plays music just as well, but selecting music is basically down to the order you have the tracks installed on the USB stick. The tiny 'toy' looking remote works well with a direct sight of line of the unit and works upto to a distance of 3 metres from the amplifier. The amplifier seems to be of good costruction, build and finish, the control knobs and button connections are smooth to use and all the output connections work without any hassle, just select and a way you go! When the amplifier is powered on there is only a slight background hiss when there is no sound playing, nothing to really worry about and not even noticeable when the amplifier is in use. Thae amplifier and power connector do not get excessively hot even when powered on for a few hours.Overall I am more than satisfied with the sound quality of this little amplifier, I didnt use the supplied 12v 5amp power supply, but a higher rated 19v 5amp power supply. This has delivered the correct power output to the amplifier, and this is definately more noticeable when you hike up the volume all the way to the top....it just blasts out sound terrifically from the speakers (to the annoyance of my better half!) For very little money outlay the Lepy 168 plus has given me a versatile Hi Fi music and TV sound system and with the extra addition of Bluetooth and USB music output. It's not a top of the range £££ music system amplifier but for the price and different functions it's more than satisfactory for me. If you've got reduntant or unused speakers then give them a new lease of life with the Nobsound Lepy 168Plus.

Great little mini-amp
Great little mini-amp with only one problem (that's easy to fix, but still).Overall this is spot on. I've attached mine to my home office table for playing music off the laptop - over wired RCA. The sound is solid, volume, bass, and treble, are all configurable. No problem. Great little mini-amp.Bluetooth is easy to pair with, press the mode button on the mini-amp, and the device becomes available. It looks like anyone can connect to it; there appears to be no security preventing people connecting. Quality is again very good, no crackling, no sound issues at all, although with bluetooth the signal is compressed for broadcast and quality suffers; however, it's not that obvious here. Pretty good. (edit: ok so the mini-amp is for a car so I guess not many people will be able to connect to bluetooth as you zoom past them)Now to the problem. The mini-amp allows for a subwoofer - which is awesome, cannot wait to get one - and has a means to send certain bass frequencies to the woofer or to the other speakers and certain volumes. Unfortunately, there is a blue light that throbs with the bass line, and it's all very distracting and bright and narcissistic - look at me!! It's annoying... some duct tape will fix it. It lost a star for this. (edit: this feature is actually so you can configure the signal to suit the bass beat.)However, would recommend it, it's really good.

Needed a replacement 2.1 Desktop amp and this came through 5 stars.
My old 2.1 (Lidl) amp finally died (10+) years old and was looking for a replacement when I cam across this Amplifier. The quality of sound is phenomenal, not only that it has trim for the sub bass frequency (normal found higher priced products) the usual Volume treble and bass controls and also the sub woofer controls. It has a mini remote that requires a a CR2032 Button cell for the remote. has USB, blu-tooth and line inputs that can be controlled by the main panel or mini remote. A breeze to setup and although the manual needs a magnifier to read (small booklet) the instructions are concise and clear. I love this amp and have recommended this to my friends and that is something I do not often do unless I'm impressed, well worth the money.

Great amp ruined by one feature
This amplifier emits a loud beep every time you press any button on the remote control, including volume controls which unfortunately ruins an otherwise brilliant product. If that doesn't bother you then you should absolutely buy this amplifier but we found the beep to be too intrusive when watching films or TV series, especially during quiet or tense scenes where it can completely break the immersion.

Easy to use
Bought for my son, he uses it to play music from a memory stick or ipod. It is so easy to use and the remote control means he does not even have to get out of bed.
