This grill is amazing so far! I sous vide a Prime NY and then grilled for 90 seconds on each side. It gave the perfect sear without overcooking and a really awesome grill flavor. I could see the juices evaporating and providing the smoke grill flavor. Perfection. This came nearly fully assembled. Very quick to set up and get started. The automatic igniter isn’t working but I have a call in to the company and I imagine they will replace it.

Bought this to be used at our marina. Worked really well and DID NOT blow out because of the wind like conventional grills always did.Bratwurst, hot dogs & hamburgers cooked in minutes. The control valve was accurate.I also purchased the tripod mount which was sturdy and well made. The grill did not move or shake in the wind.My only issue was the one hole one the flat plate for the tripod mount did not fully align with one of the holes under the grill. I used a drill to open it up.Also this same threaded hole on the grill was a bit under sized for the foot pad to screw in easily. the No big deal but Rasmussen Mfg should pay attention for the price.The value well exceeds the cost.After using this grill, the instructions CLAIM that the dripping grease is incinerated during cooking.This does not happen.The grease will drip out the bottom of the grill. Rasmussen mfg does not offer a additional drip pan. Had I known this I would mot have purchased this grill.

I fell in love with the sear plate on my main bbq, and wanted one for our 5th wheel. I'm not sold on the grate part of the grill, and may have to make my own, but the rest is aces.

Portable Grilling Perfection!!! You can use it at home or take it camping for the perfect steaks every time. It heats from bone cold to searing heat in 3 minuets.The grill is somewhat small, only holding 2 good size steaks, but for 2 adults it’s all you need. It also cooks fast so you can cook for more people if needed.I’d definitely recommend it to any serious steak lover!

Quality grill. But, a shore to clean. The wind really slows down cooking. I did not get the bag as part of the purchase, but Amazon refunded the difference.Over-all it's ok. But I was expecting great. I could have spent half as much for an ok grill.

Have now used it several times and this grill is excellent. Other reviewers are right on, you should carefully follow the directions on timing and settings for various foods or you'll overcook them easily because it's so hot. Also remember to never close the lid while this grill is running, that is only for transport and storage when it's cooled down. I had a minor problem with the gas regulator and it was warranty replaced very quickly and with a minimum of fuss. Just sent in a cell phone video of the problem and they approved it right away and sent me a new part. Very happy with my purchase and someday, when I can afford it and have a bigger house, will definitely be getting one of the very large grills they make.

What I liked:1) it's hot. very hot. Seared steaks well.2) quality carrying bag.What I didn't like:1) it's hot. very hot. or it's off. Searing vs. cooking is very difficult to find.2) it was not assembled correctly at the factory. The grille was jammed up into the lid, and I ended up damaging it and cutting my hand trying to get it out, which leads to3) every edge is razor sharp. Just assembling this thing (they claim it's mostly assembled, just attach the handles and regulator basically, but it took me 45 minutes to get to that point due to the grille thing) I ended up cutting up my hands 3 times on these stainless steel edges.4) the securing clasps don't secure squat. They look like they're designed to snap into place to secure the lid; they don't. They are super loose. The rivets were poorly positioned.Now it's possible I just got a lemon, but if I were selling this thing at over $400 a unit, I'd ensure I didn't embarrass myself with this shoddy worksmanship going out the door.I debated on returning it, but since I've already worked out the kinks (and added some of my own) already, and it does cook a steak in a way that I've been wanting for a propane grille for over a decade, I decided to keep it. But I feel like this is about $300 overpriced for the quality.Reduced this to one star. Can't keep this thing lit with a tiny breeze. You walk away for a minute and come back to cooling food and a potential explosion. Do not buy.
