In new construction homes these are generally missing from the garage entry hinges. Came in a neat little pack.

I wasn’t sure if this would work for my fire door but the spins and the wrenches worked exactly as I needed them too!

Wrenches are cheap and stripped rather quickly. Pins fit but wish they had a head on them like others

Repaired the hinge in less than 10 seconds! Those comments about the pin not fitting in properly is probably caused by not tensioning the coil spring. The pin is held in by the tension of the powerful spring inside the hinge. It takes some effort to tension the spring with the included hex wrench and then probing with the pin when the hole in the spring tensioner line up. It’s really easy peasy. However, the cost of the fix was rather expensive considering you’re getting 12 tiny pieces of steel rod and two cheap hex wrenches. I probably could have repaired the hinge with a brad nail as some have suggested.

My contractor installed our garage door but most likely tossed the parts to make sure it auto closes. I found this kit with the best price and the most pieces. Worth a shot even with no reviews.I was surprised that this kit came in a nice little plastic container. That is great to store all the pieces.The hex wrenches worked for my hinges and the pins also fit as they should. My garage door finally closes on its own.

We got these because my husband has a bad habit of leaving the door open when he goes into the utility room. Our kittens love to follow him. This way, he can pass back and forth, hands free, the door shuts itself, and our kittens are safely away from all of the "fun" in the utility room.

The pin diameter is not 0.08 inch. It's way thinner than that and is around only 0.06 inch. I wanted to replace my old existing pins with this one. But this product is so skinny that I don't think it can last long.Another big problem is once this skinny pin gets stuck and if you ever want to remove and replace it, it is very difficult since this doesn't stick to a magnet and you can't really pull it with a magnet.I tested this pin into the hold and had a really difficult time to remove since my magnet didn't work. I managed to remove it by using double-sided 3M tape to another pin so that I can pull the one inside the hole.
