Ephesus

This "Quick Guide" is very nicely presented and is attractive. However, I would have hoped that it would have more of something--either information or maps--to enhance the presentation. Having just been to Ephesus, I was hoping to find more. This single fold-out sheet has one overall view of the ruins that is helpful, but that's all. I guess I would still buy it, but only since I did not find a really useful guide such as is available for Rome, Athens, etc.

An abbreviated yet informative, illustrated fold-out guide to ancient Ephesus, crossroad of cultures and empires, raiders and conquerors across the centuries from Iron Age Greek colonists through Ottoman times.

The map was laminated and easy to carry and use (it was too big to put in a pocket though)

As a simple fold-out this has a limited amount of information, but it is a great travel companion for a trip to Ephesus. I also used it quite a bit after our trip to orient myself when reviewing and posting my pictures. I'm very glad I got it!

I had hoped that this would provide some more informative information. I have been there yet so will reserve complete judgment, but I am disappointed. I have seen such sheets for other places that did a better job. I think this could be helpful after a tour with a guide - I don't know.

I was hoping for more information about Ephesus since we plan to visit there. The map of the city is good but more detail about the historical sites would have been helpful.

Carrying this wonderful little brochure while visiting Ephesus, I was the envy of all - having a map and brief description that supplemented all the guide had to say. It is small and light enough to pack on any trip and a wonderful memento of the visit.

It is very brief, but what can you expect at that price. Nice pictures, though, and handy to carry along in that wonderful place.
