You get what you pay for
I really don’t know why I even bought this. I saw it and thought “that looks like a KAC. Maybe it won’t be so bad.” I was wrong. The adjustment is mushy and the quality of the pieces is really bad. Plus when you have it flipped up, it somehow gets loose from the rail.

Mushy windage
The sight feels solid as a whole. The detent for flipping it up and down is really stout. The elevation is pretty good and definitely usable but the windage is super mushy and too easy to turn. So much so that I’d worry it would move if inadvertently bumped against gear :/

Simple to use
The item is a little stiff when you first start using it, but it begins to move a little easier the more you use it. I have taken a few pictures of the rear sight, so you can see it from all angles. I gave this item four stars, because it wasn’t as smooth as some sights I’ve used, but for the price it is a good sight.

Works surprisingly well
I bought this Golden Eagle flip-up rear sight as an interim solution while searching for a scope to use on an offset Picatinny rail. It's an all metal sight, with no plastic components. It clamped onto the rail with good alignment and stayed tight over the initial range session of 30 rounds of 5.56. The windage knob on my sight did have sufficient tension, not too stiff and not too loose.Since I was shooting at just 25 meters for a basic zero, I did not attempt to elevate the rear sight for extended ranges, except to verify that the mechanism does indeed work (on this model, basic elevation zero is achieved using the front sight). While shooting, I noticed that the spring and detent holding the flip aperture arm up or down kept it upright despite recoil and some jostling around, until manually folded back down. The real shock was that my very first group at 25 meters was dead on target for windage. After adjusting the front sight for elevation, I was able to zero both windage and elevation with my second group. This inexpensive rear sight works surprisingly well, at least for casual target shooting.
