A simple but accurate tool.
Used this to measure the recessed bores of my various clarinets. Very accurate results provided you use it carefully. The handle must be kept exactly parallel to the pipe being measured whilst you lock the tool, so that the measuring part of the tool stays at right angles to the pipe. Digital callipers can then be used to take the measurement but a micrometer gives the best accuracy. A simple idea but a very effective one. Excellent value for money. Dispatched and arrived within 24 hours.

Useful for restricted access applications.
Where these come into their own are for when you can't use a regular gauge to access the bore diameter of an engine or plumbing work. You can place these in and lock them off, then retract them and measure with a gauge. For that purpose they're great. I like the fact they hold their measurement quite firmly too.They're well made with a nice finish. They should come in useful on occasion. The case they come in is lightweight plastic but it's sufficient.
