Much more convenient than using traditional extension cords. I could place a plug where I needed it without running tons of extra cords.

Perfect for outdoor lighting arrangements however I gave them three stars because of the price point. They should be about a third of what the cost is. If you can find quantities of 50 or more the price comes down dramatically however most people don’t need 50. These plugs along with a roll of 18 gauge wire is perfect for our LED outside Christmas lights. I learned about these from a commercial Christmas light installer that did residential. I was able to get rid of all my heavy outdoor extension cords and use these plugs and the role of 18 gauge wire. I’ve got two winters on them and they’ve held up very well. The wire is starting to get a bit stiff so this next season will most likely require me to build new cables. I’m hoping that I will be able to reuse the plugs since they are in really good shape. I saw these on a youtube video and was dumbstruck that you can't buy them in your local HomeDepot! So I ordered them here. They arrived yesterday and in less than 1 minute I had installed one successfully and strung a new set of lights from the new outlet. The installation does require a fair amount of finger strength. Feeble hands will probably need help. The back of the outlet is intentionally made to fit very snuggly onto the front of the outlet after the wire has been placed where it goes.

The product was easy to install, although I should've purchased electrical wire instead of using an existing extension cord because the cords are a but thicker. I am using this to power a Christmas village whose light bulbs I've switched to LEDs. I will be purchasing more so that it'll be easier to add holiday lights indoors!Super fast shipping. There are no instructions included but pictures were readily available.

I used these plugs along a flat zip cord wire where I positioned the plugs right where I wanted holiday lamp fixtures in a large picture window.. The dragon clips puncture the zip cord (18/2) to make the connection. The wire is held in place by sliding the back clip into place. Look for the indent in the back clip to properly position it when sliding. The indent joins at the end of the sliding motion. The back clip requires a bit of hand strength to finish the sliding process. If you have difficulty you could use some pliers (channel locks) to provide added leverage. I used black zip cord lamp wire and also added my own plugs male and female to finish the ends. This allowed me to get an exact length that I wanted but you could also save time by using an existing extension cord as long as it is of the flat zip cord variety.

The product did an excellent job in allowing me to tack on an extra strand of lights for my eaves in the middle of the main strand.

It takes christmas lights to a new level of what is possible with out extension cords all over the place.
