I had forgotten how fun it is to read in bed, and then the night I received Amy's new book and snuggled under the covers to read it, I remembered.I consider her my silent mentor, inspiring me from afar, purely by example. With this book, I can now hear her part of the conversation - the conversation I wish I could have with so many women out there who are doing it - who are living a life they love, making a career out of their unique creative gifts.I got up to page 82 on that first night with the book. It's really an effortless, insightful read. There are fun coloring, reflecting, and writing activities throughout the book, but I'll probably revisit them the second time around...right now I'm reading this book like it's what I've wanted to hear Amy talk about for years. Probably because it is.

When I first saw the posts about Amy's new book I hesitated...I am infamous for purchasing art/crafting/quilt/sewing books, reading a bit or more likely thumbing through them and then adding them to my bookcase, basket or nightstand. Did I really need another craft book? Probably not; however, I was fortunate to have met Amy shortly after she began her journey into scrabooking and remembered a sweet, shy, and very talented young woman with a style that was different, bright and fun from the current style of scrap booking in 2007. I pulled the trigger and ordered the book thinking it would be a quick read, background about her business and entrepreneurship. I can say it is that and oh so much more! I quickly read through the first few sections and found myself stopping and looking for a pen, going back to the beginning and answering prompts and questions furiously without allowing myself too much time to second guess my responses. When I was finished, I was surprised, saddened, and enlightened...I saw pieces of myself that I had abandoned out of self doubt and expectations to be as good as the "professionals" that grace social media. Amy's own story, her anecdotes and encouragement helped to drive out the negative spin and reminded me of why I love crafting and gave me back the voice I should have been listening to; my creative voice. Not a day has gone by since reading her book where I haven't spent time doing something creative. It has restored a love of doing and even sharing (scary as that can be) a part of me I had not nurtured in a long time. I am so grateful to Amy, in sharing a bit of her life and journey she has inspired me to look inside myself and remember all the wonderful fulfillment that the creative process gives back to you. This book doesn't sit in a basket, it goes from room to room, a beautiful reminder that only I can limit my choices to express my creativity. Thank you Amy!

I read Amy's book from cover to cover in one sitting - I couldn't put it down! I am definitely walking away feeling uplifted and inspired and especially love the 20 journaling prompts - I'm going to start those tomorrow in a handmade coptic book! It's so nice to read positive and uplifting things about scrapbooking instead of sometimes feeling guilty about loving paper and stickers so much :) We are who we are!! ♡♡♡

Filled with wonderful inspiration and ideas for feeling comfortable in your own skin and embracing yourself. Gives you permission to craft and feel creative each day which is so important to remember for everyone! Loved this and will be buying more to give as gifts to family and friends!!

Love this book! As with everything Amy does, this book is a fun escape into creativity and stretching the brain to explore new ways to be expressive. Love when I'm in a creative lull that I can look here for new, fresh ideas and inspiration. This would also make a great gift for anyone either creative or who needs a little creative therapy- but make sure to snag a copy for yourself too because you won't want to give it away!

Amazing book for those whose passion is creating, or for those who WANT to be more creative. Amy gives practical exercises for you to fit your creative hobbies into your day. There are also places in the book to color, journal and map things out. Great book!

This book is amazing and you get to color it yourself!!!! I love that my book looks like no one else's! Amy is incredibly gifted and this book is encouragement at it's finest!

Excellent, amazing inspiration! Amy is so genuinely sweet and it comes through in her YouTube videos, Instagram posts and blog. I've been excited to dive into this book and utilize it as a support to my attempt at being more creative in small ways. Makes a great gift for any creative friends!
