My reason for the purchaseI am an older TMNT fan. I grew up with the turtles in the 90’s, and honestly have never really made any sort of effort to explore the comics outside of the animated TV series.While looking for TMNT items on AMAZON I happened upon this book and the character on the cover caught my attention. I started to realize, there was a lot about the turtles universe I had no idea about. Honestly I knew there was a more mature themed side to the turtles, but I wasn’t about to spend a ton of money to get started. These volumes are EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. An affordable way to explore the turtles universe and to find some new characters to appreciate.About the purchaseThe item arrived within 3 daysThe book arrived in perfect condition and the Character ALOPEX on the cover is beautifully rendered. Now I just need to purchase the rest of these I can’t tell you how excited I am to explore these stories. I encourage any adult fan to check these out, with the turtles now being mostly for young children, these comics give the older generation of fans a way to still enjoy this beloved franchise.

I’m just glad I finally have a book cover from the IDW Collection since this lineup started all the way back in 2015 that has my Favorite Character Alopex on it! And I’m glad my copy came through with no problems or physical damage, with the exception of some melted plastic on the cover, but I can clean that one easily.As for this new era of TMNT since issue #100 and the change in staff since lead writers Tom Waltz and Kevin Eastman left (though they provide story consulting for this series) to write The Last Ronin, it’s definitely something that can either be for you or not… I personally think the new writer and TMNT fan Sophie Campbell has a decent grasp on the series, although it’s understandable of the criticism on this particular part of her run starts off slow but it does give the characters, both familiar and new, some more spotlight in a somewhat relaxed setting like Mutant Town. Another reason why I wanted to write this review is that there’s going to be reviews here that’ll labeled this run as “Social Justice political garbage” and other insults like it because there’s now focus on female characters like Jennika and not the Turtles. While it’s an criticism that has some merit, I personally believe that these types of reviews are filled with Prejudices like these that label things that are simply not true and shouldn’t be taken as fact until you read it and give it a chance yourself.I know not many people will share my viewpoint, but I’m excited for this new era for the Turtles, especially with the lead up to Tom Waltz’s return to the series that he shepherded since the beginning of the series with this year’s Armageddon Games event. I highly recommend this book to TMNT fans to give this new era a chance!

after the first 4k pages of war after war this was a refreshing change of pace. it makes sense that with a new world order, new problems to consider arise instead of yet another thousand year old feud. the focus being placed on the characters instead of the conflict for once was exactly what i needed to reinvigorate my enjoyment of the series.seriously dont listen to these other reviews unless youre of the ilk who only care for repetitive story beats and back to back fighting being the only point of plot.

Been on a spree buying all the TMNT IDW Collection books I didn't have. There's a whole lot of them, so I haven't had the opportunity to actually read this one yet.The cover has some very subtle markings and what looks almost like smudges, but you have to really squint at it to notice. The pages are like brand new from what I'm seeing, though, so that's the important part. Also, the package took quite a while to get here, to the point I even got a false alarm email that it was delayed to November and that left me utterly confused. Thankfully that wasn't true and it ended up delivering at the date it was originally slated to show up.Overall, I'm glad to have this and the book is in good condition. Now I just need to wait on Amazon to restock Volume 12 lol

TMNT series is pretty good. After everything that has happened, everyone just trying to live a peaceful life but no can do. Once again it time for turtle power.
