Beautiful story and illustrations.
A very sweet story about adoption of pets and children. We have adopted grandchildren and so enjoyed reading this book to them. Great job Kristin Chenoweth

It's NOT Just About A Dog Getting Adopted
I was concerned that the author (who I adore) was going to compare adopting a dog to adopting a child, as they are two separate experiences. Although the story does include an adopted dog, it takes a turn when the reader realizes that the child is also adopted, just like the author. The story is absolutely lovely pointing to how we can find comfort in each other just by showing our love. Personally it really moved me and I found myself tearing up at certain parts as I read the story to my child. Maybe I am just a big baby, but this is a good one, guys. Get it!

It’s perfect.
I bought this book to introduce the topic of adoption to my toddler. It is perfect. It has a fantastic message even if you’re not in it for the adoption part. Thanks for writing this, Kristin.

Sweet Book!
I bought this book for a friend who recently adopted a child. I think ish that I would have had it when I was growing up because I was adopted. It is such a sweet story!

What an enjoyable read for young and old alike! Can’t help but smile after reading!
A very kind and caring book ! With everything that is going on in the world today, it makes it all a little more bearable! YES….L❣️O❣️V❣️E❣️is what helps at this VERY anxiety driven time! For “grown ups” as well as the youngsters! Give everybody you love and care about an extra squeeze every day!

Lovely book but lacks illustrated diversity
Cute rhymes/read but my thought was I wish there was more diversity in the illustrations. I understand that this is from the authors reference who is a gorgeous blonde but my purchase intent was for a girl being adopted out of foster care and her forever family. Picture wise, there was not a lot to relate to. But, that being said I would still purchase for the words.
