Two Words: Caveat Emptor
I don't know why or how other customers have been able to use this Lcwamy USB storage device, but as for me, I've not been able to get even one of my family's Windows 10 (version 21H1) computers--two older HP laptops, one new HP business laptop, two relatively new Alienware gaming computers, and one Dell all-in-one desktop--to work with this drive. When I first plug the drive in at any USB port on any of the Win 10 boxes, an error message pops up saying that the device is not recognized (see attached pic #1). Then, when I go into the Windows Device Manager to try to troubleshoot the issue, I see a line for the Universal Serial Bus controllers that reports "device descriptor failed" for the drive (see attached pic #2), and the properties window for the drive indicates that Windows stopped the device because of issues involving error Code 43 (see attached pic #3). Now, with the drive still plugged in, I can open the Windows 10 disk-management utility and actually "see" the drive, but the utility reports that the drive contains no media, and any attempt to format the drive or partition it using the utility results in a message requesting that I first insert media into the USB device. In addition to being a Windows power user, I also tinker with Linux a bit, and Linux has a disk-management utility that sometimes allows me to format various drives that Windows will not initially recognize. So with that in mind, I tried using the Linux utility to "fix" this Lcwamy USB drive, but alas, this was also a no-go. As with the Windows 10 disk-management utility, the Linux utility also "sees" the Lcwamy device but reports that I must first insert media into it before any formatting or partitioning can be attempted. The bottom line, then, is that it's hit-and-miss when it comes to this Lcwamy product. You may, like other customers, get a drive that works, Or you may, like me, get one that doesn't. But frankly, even if I could now get my hands on one of the drives that actually seemed to function, my experience with the product would make me leery of trusting it to safely store and protect my important files, and I therefore can't recommend that anyone else take a chance with one. Indeed, if you're considering buying one of these drives, the best advice I can offer is caveat emptor: "Let the buyer beware."

Excellent archival device
Like most people I have been accumulating a LOT of wonderful memories on my computer, from pictures of my 16-year-old cats as kittens to tax returns to vacation pictures to ….whatever, and this is a great way to save all of those diverse files at a very reasonable price.I am hesitant to erase important papers and nostalgic souvenir pictures from my computer, so before I hit Delete I tested the flash drive by backing up the documents, then calling some of them up on the computer to be sure they had copied correctly and were still there. My 4 GB of files copied very quickly. I also removed the drive and reattached it twice and tested some of the files. Everything displayed properly. It works! It is nicely designed, too. I like that it lights up when connected to the computer.

keeps Failing - poor quality product
Does Not work. I've had to reformat 3 times in 3 days as it keeps throwing an error. It's now gone in the bin!
