Super Easy!
Let me start off with saying Prep your nails. Natural or fake. Take the shine off your nails by filing the nail with a nail file they give you. Make sure to get all edges. Then wipe with an alcohol wipes! This will help the powder grab onto the fake or natural nail and so the powder will not chip later! I made the mistake of not doing that the first time and they chipped super fast. Once I filed my nail and wiped each nail down before applying powder they haven’t cracked once. Also don’t glob on the base coat. Do a thin layer and always clean your brush each time with the brush cleaner, that comes with the kit. I dip my nail and lightly tap the extra powder off then I go to the next nail. After I’m done with all my nails that’s when I go back And brush them off. Make sure to brush them hard and good to get all that powder off, it will help keep the nail looking nice. All you need is 2 coats for fake or natural nails. I did 3 on my natural nail but I added the clear sparkle on top of the color. Otherwise 2 would have worked. Also after you bond it file the nail down, then buff it with a white block buffer. You can get them any where. CVS, Walmart, or a beauty supply store, even amazon. This will smooth out the nail a lot. After buffing apply the bonder again! This helped so much. Since your buffing off the first layer of bonder when filing the nail to smooth it out. So do the bonder a second time. Then wipe again with alcohol, make sure to get all that dust off and apply top coat. I recommend a second coat. If you do these steps you should NOT have any lifting or cracking! This product is great! Super easy and wonderful for beginners. I’m buying all their powder kits!

Great for touching up salon topcoat
I bought this so that I could touch up my salon dip nail top coat and it works very well for that. I have only used the solutions #2 and #3, so I can't speak to the others. I filed off my original topcoat, buffed, and wiped the nail with alcohol to prep. I followed the instructions carefully for the activator and the topcoat. Once that topcoat goes on, just sit there... don't do anything. Just let it sit and dry for several minutes. Results are comparable to my salon nails and it's great to be able to refresh that newly-done shine whenever I like!

Glue dried up after 2 uses
I got this kit when I just stayed doing my own nails. It's simple to use and really works well but the glue and the setting liquid dried out after only a couple sets of nails. I understand it's just glue but for the amount I got in the kit it seems to be a waste for it to dry out. It was stored properly and not left in the elements. I wish I would of gotten more use out of it though.

Love this kit! So worth it!
This kit is awesome! My nails always chip and break so I tried gel nails by getting a professional manicure - my nails grow fast so $25 each ($50 a month) seems a bit much for this grad student - bought this kit to do it myself. This pic I’ve included is after a week of wear and before touch ups - they’re still going strong with no chipping and need to be filed down in the back to a smooth things out but they could keep going. Might change colors instead. Please note the glitter ones I got are sheer polishes so you need a color under them - I didn’t have any so I went with the glitter that was somewhat like my skin tone so these are just glitter on top of glitter - 3 layers of the pale pink and 1 light layer of the white glitter on top for extra sparkle.Make sure to put the base coat on SUPER thin - I didn’t realize how runny it was so had to file it down a bit after they baked under the LED it ran into the dips next to the nail and puddles even with a light amount. Also - I did 60s after each layer. Not bad for a first time, off to file them and add the cuticle oil. Look forward to more colors.

Best set for beginners
I constantly order these. They are easy to use and the shine with the third coat stays until I’m ready to redo

Great colours, fabulous result even for 1st time user
I’ve had a play with pretty much every different type of manicure going - old fashioned polishes, gels (both UV and air-dry), builder gels, poly gels - and finally decided to give dips a go.Decided on the Beetles product because I’d been really impressed with the pigmentation of their UV gels, and wasn’t disappointed by the amount of pigment in these candy-coloured dips.I used them with ready-made acrylic nail tips, and used a PH bonding solution before using the Beetles base & top coat from this kit as a glue to apply the tips - it worked surprisingly well, and feels as secure as other nail glues.Started applying the dips slowly, using the supplied instructions. The most important hint, I think, is the one that suggests you work one nail at a time. Complete the mail, then move to the next. The base dries very - very - quickly, so you can’t paint up a whole hand, dip each finger and get back to the first one in time.I used two layers of dip - base, dip, shake off the excess. I used a soft makeup brush instead of a sponge - a hint I picked up elsewhere. The brush can be used very sparingly so you don’t disturb the surface of the newly-dipped nail by pushing too hard. On the first hand, I did the two coats in each finger, applied the activator, filed out any tiny inconsistencies, re-applied activator, and then when I was happy after using a glass buffing file that I’d smoothed out the nail, applied the topcoat - and only *then* started on the next nail. The first hand took me about two hours… I’m patient, but not *that* patient. So on the second hand, I dipped twice, and applied the activator. Then moved onto the next nail, and repeated. Once I’d done all five, I went in with the files and buffed out any bumps - all of which were the result of my inexperience, not the super-smooth powders. Then another coat of activator and after a couple of minutes drying, a coat of topcoat. The second hand took me about an hour.I’m rapt with the result. The colours are great, the process was longer than my regular gel application, but acceptable; and my nails are shiny, hard and look super-professional.Make sure you clean up any over-spill onto your skin *before* applying the activator. Once that stuff is on, you’ve got a filing job on your hands to get rid of problems. Beforehand, you can roll and scrape little over-applications of the base and powder relatively easily with a cuticle pusher or an orange stick. The extra powder that attaches itself to your skin while dipping washes off in soap and water once you’re done, and even though the leaflet suggests using a second layer of top coat if you like “shiny” nails, mine are as shiny as a regular UV gel finish with just a single coat.I’m glad I decided to paint up tips, not directly onto my natural nails (which suffer badly because I spend a *lot* of time in water). The finish is rock-hard, and (as the documentation suggests) would need an electric drill to remove from the nail bed. I have one, so it wouldn’t be an issue, but, be warned - spend an extra $20 on a small USB drill and some drill heads if you plan to use this straight onto your natural nails. It’s about the only way you’d get it off, short of growing it out and cutting it off like a bad bleach job on your hair.Fantastic gear - especially for the price. The only thing missing is a bottle of brush saver. You get two spare brushes, but I had to get creative mid-manicure to keep the base-top brush going for the whole session (and that was recapping and sealing the brush back into the bottle between *every* application of dip.)Will definitely buy the powders again, and while I’m impressed with the finish achieved by the base-top, I’ll still be shopping around for others, because … that’s just what I do.

Easy to use
Great alternative to gel nails. Easy and quick to use. Would buy again but would be careful before I used it as the bottle of activator was almost empty
